DESCRIPTION

We all have restless minds from time to time. Some of us have thoughts that won't stop racing no matter how hard we try to stop them. In a world with all sorts of distraction, it's amazing that we can even operate, let alone thrive. This slideshow is a quick introduction to ten ways that you can quiet your mind. It's not an entire comprehensive list, as that would take entire volumes to detail. However, this is ten of the quickest things that, if you learn well, can quiet your mind faster than you might have ever thought possible. If nothing else, this will provide you some good stress relief. Having a quiet mind is actually not entirely possible as our minds naturally love to ramble on and on. There is, however, a way to gain incredible space between thoughts. This is the silence that grows with time. Learning mindfulness can teach you to experience this. You don't even need to go that far to experience the benefits of having a quiet mind. Even waking up to the knowledge of what your mind does from moment to moment will take you a long way toward experiencing life on a higher level than most ever will. The truth is, many people go through life on auto-pilot. That is, they never even realize that they are not in control of their ships. They go years without even a glimpse of what their minds are up to. Such ignorance is sad, and is behind many of the world's problems. If each of us takes even five minutes to observe our own minds, the world would evolve to a new level of understanding. All of our problems wouldn't instantly disappear, but we'd be well on our way to coming to a far deeper understanding of our own experience, and that of everyone else on Earth. Therefore, I wrote up this slideshow to provide a top level overview of what you can learn in order to experience a quiet mind. Use it for whatever you want, as there are many things in life that get better once you see what your mind does, and attempt to experience quiet once in a while. Learning new things, sports, music, meditation, mindfulness, yoga, Tai-Chi, martial arts, pole vaulting, poker, chess, climbing the corporate ladder, being an entrepreneur, sky diving, weight lifting, and even playing Guitar Hero can benefit from what you learn here. I urge you to use this slideshow and go to the linked website. Sign up for the newsletter, and learn to use mindfulness in your own experience. I think you'll see a great many benefits in your own life.
