Mills High School (C2) and Har-Bur Middle School (C2).Library: Burlington Public Library (D3).Places of Worship: Congregational (D3), Roman Catholic (A5).Health Services: Farmington Valley VNA.Historical Society: Headquarters in The Tavern on the Green (D3).Senior Citizen Center in Town Hall (D3).Fish Hatchery: The State Fish Hatchery (D3) is the largest for raising trout to stock State streams.Parks and Recreation: Foote Road Recreation Area (C3)–swimming, softball, basketball, playground, ice skating. YMCA Camp Chase (D5)–Family Recreation Center and Day Camp (Greater Hartford YMCA). Malerbo Recreation Complex (F5). New Britain Boys Club (C3). Johnnycake Mountain Park (D1). Nassahegan Rec. Area (1226 acres) in the central part of the town (E3-E4). Tunxis Trail, one of the blue-blazed hiking trails maintained by the Conn. Forest and Park Assoc., runs from the Bristol line to Route 4. In addition to the Mainline trail shown on the map (D4-G1), there are many interconnecting side trails, which make round trip hikes possible. Farmington Valley Greenway (A5-D5)–The Farmington Valley Trail system connecting Burlington to Collinsville and Farmington was built along an abandoned rail corri- dor. Breathtaking views of the Farmington River, stone arches, historic buildings, iron and wooden bridges, a green belt of native plants and trees and other artifacts provide a rich cultural background. A wooden bridge, built over an existing train trestle, spans the Farmington River connecting Burlington to Collinsville. Ten foot wide, wheelchair accessible trail, open sunrise to sunset, year round except where posted. Activities include walking, jogging, biking and rollerblading. Motorized vehicles (except wheelchairs) are prohibited.Post Office: Burlington (D3) 06013. 5
