This is the tenth year in a row the depart- ment has been in the top 10 in United States. For FY2012, it is projected that the City work- force will be reduced by over 1,000 employees since 2006. The City merged departments and functions to create an effi- cient smaller government. As positions continue to be elimi- nated, the City will look to our excellent employees, customer service and technology improvements, volunteers, and an increased focus on performance and accountability to continue delivering quality services with fewer staff. IN Standards met by the Parks and Recreation Department to achieve accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies.
