The 26th is Sainte Anne’s Feast and we will spend the whole day at the Shrine. The Solemn Mass is 10:30AM in the Basilica, downstairs at 12:30AM Italian Mass, 3:00PM Anointing of the sick outside in front of he Basilica.At 8:30PM Candlelight Procession on the Hillside. FB

The Shrine to honor Saint Anne was initially built March 1658, enlarged in 1876. The first was destroyed in a fire in March 1922 and the present day Basilica was built in 1926. Because of

difficulties during the recession work was resumed in 1937 and it was completed much later in 1946.The Basilica has a set of nine bells, total weight is 43,087 lbs.Each bell has a name Angelica, Jesu’, Mary, Anne, Joachim, Joseph, John the Baptist, Alphonsus and Patrick.

DAY 5 Monday

On the way to Quebec City, we will stop at Notre-Dame-du-Cap in Trois-Rivieres the first Marian Shrine in Canada. Our Lady performed many Miracles. One of them in the winter of 1879 an ice bridge was formed in order to transport the material to build the new Church.

DAY 6 Tuesday

We will try to visit Montmorency Falls or Sainte Alme Canyon and maybe we will be able to see the difference between low tide and high tide on the Golf of St. Lawrence, and of course visit Quebec City. FB
