    TERMITE PROTECTION

    Provide Termite Protection in accordance withthe BCA and AS 3600.2000 "Protection ofBuildings from Subterranean Termites".

    The Builder and Owner shall negotiate an option

    for termite control within the BCA/AS 3660and record in writing the selected options, witheach party to retain a copy signed by bothparties. The Builder shall make available to theOwner information written for the consumerrelating to termite protection options, eg.QMBA's "Home Owners Guide for Protectionfrom Termites".

    The Home Owner and subsequent owners shallbe responsible for arranging inspections by atrained person at max. 12 month intervals. TheOwner is responsible for ensuring no subsequentworks such as landscaping interfere with thetermite protection system.

    The current Owner is responsible for providing

    the new Owner with a copy of t he signed termiteprotection option adopted for the building.

    It is the responsibility of the Home Owner toarrange for the inspections and to carry outany recommendations made by the termitecontroller.
