1. Which program learning outcomes have been assessed for the

planned academic year?

This past year we assessed one learning outcomes per undergraduate programs with a focus

on the senior capstone:

Graphic Design

Upon graduation our students will have created a professional graphic design

portfolio which they will be able to continue to upgrade in preparation for entry

level positions in the graphic design industry with a focus in the print and web

markets. They will have acquired skill sets in design fundamentals, art history, art

theory and standard production methods necessary to function in the field of

creative design and communication.

Computer Graphics

Upon graduation our students will have created a 3D animation demo reel

portfolio which they will be able to continue to upgrade in preparation for entry

level positions in the animation production industry. They will have acquired skill

sets in design fundamentals, art history, art theory and standard production

methods necessary to function in the field of creative visualization and

communication.

2. What measuring instruments were used for the assessment? (attach

the criteria, or rubrics used)

Our measuring instrument for the achievement of the Learning Outcome was a Google-based

evaluation completed by industry guests of our annual Senior Academic Survey. The

academic survey is an annual event where graphic design and computer graphic seniors

present their final portfolio work to a panel. Each industry guest rates a Fine Arts senior’s

portfolio according to how well he/she achieved the learning outcome.

At the Graphic Design academic survey, 11 guests evaluated 17 students.

Students were rated according to 5 questions that addressed

Elements and Principles of Design

The average for students was 4 out of 5 (27%).

3. What were the important findings? How well students achieved the

targeted learning outcomes?

Summary

The findings of the evaluations points out the current strengths and weaknesses of the Fine

Arts Department’s undergraduate degrees. The Graphic Design major is overall successful in

preparing students for entry-level positions in industry. There are some areas that could use

extra emphasis, including typography and further execution of concepts. However, attention

is needed towards the Graphic Design program’s Learning Outcomes as a whole, with

particular attention towards how they ultimately prepare the Graphic Design major towards

his/her captsone.

The Computer Graphics major is lacking adequate development of the students’ skills in

Page 3: 1. Which program learning outcomes have been … · Capture studio within the thesis coursework. However, this only impacted certain students so However, this only impacted certain

animation, storytelling, technical, and modeling skills. In addition, attention is needed

towards the Computer Graphic program’s Learning Outcomes as a whole, with particular

attention towards how they ultimately prepare the Computer Graphics major towards his/her

capstone.

Major modification work is underway towards the CG curriculum to address the above

issues. The modification includes a new degree map (for both CG and GD majors), new

courses (that offer further advancement of skills), new Learning Outcomes, and changing the

focus of the major to be broader with specialization choices among electives, including areas

of 3D Modeling and Animation; Motion Graphics and Design; and

Interactive and Game Design.

Graphic Design Evaluation Results

- Overall, the Graphic Design seniors did very well in achieving the Learning

Outcome; in each area, the majority scored 4 out of 5.

- Many students need improvement on is typography.

- Much positive feedback on concept development, but many suggestions on

developing execution/style.

- Several criticisms about Photoshop skills.

- Many positive comments about illustration skills.

- The most positive comments were about overall presentation. Highlights include

“Well spoken and with purpose., “Very articulate and passionate.,” “A few tweaks to

the presentation and it's great entry level work.,” and “I would hire him

immediately.”

Computer Graphics Evaluation Results

- Overall, the Computer Graphics students rated average (The majority scored 3 out of

5) with the exception of Conceptual Thinking/Communication and Overall

Presentation (The majority scored 4 out of 5.).

- Many students received positive comments on the character designs but need to

develop their 3D skills further, including models, textures, and shading.

- There was a wide range of comments about students’ technical skills, from poor to

strong.

- Consistent criticism about student animation skills, including walk cycles, pacing,

cameras, and basic animation principles.

- Consistent criticism about storytelling, including clarity and believability.

- Positive feedback about concepts/communication of ideas.

- Many positive comments about the student’s finished reels and overall presentations

Notes:

Many comments were individualized so it is difficult to provide too generalized a summary.

In addition, since the Computer Graphics BFA curriculum is in year two of its triage, some of

the seniors experienced new classes that were rolled out in the past two years, including

coursework in Motion Graphics/2D Animation and opportunities to utilize the HIVE/Motion

Capture studio within the thesis coursework. However, this only impacted certain students so

there is much variation across the seniors’ CG portfolios.

1. Write draft of new CG Learning Outcomes (end of June)

2. Share with faculty a final draft (mid August)

3. Compare LO’s with example CG capstones (Assessment Day, August 31)

4. Finalize LO’s (September 15)

(3) Complete and submit the Computer Graphics BFA Major Modification to NYIT’s

Curriculum Committee (Terry Nauheim/Yuko Oda)

1. Collect all syllabi from faculty, new and modified from this year’s BFA CG

curriculum committee (Assessment Day, Aug 31)

2. Prepare additional materials for Preliminary Analysis Criteria for new Curriculum

Proposals (Assessment Day, Aug 31) 3. Create new degree maps (September 15)

4. Finalize all syllabi and necessary course forms (October 1)

NYIT Fall 2016 Curricular deadlines have not yet been published so the above is

subject to change.

5. What’s the assessment plan for next academic year?

The assessment plan for the next academic year is to test out the new BFA Curriculum’s

success at achieving its new Learning Outcomes. The employer evaluation criteria will

need to be re-evaluated.

1. Elements & Principles of Design

How successful are design elements (typography, color, line, imagery, and pattern) and application of principles (balance, hierarchy, scale, unity, and contrast)?

COMMENTS (Elements & Principles of Design):

Has a strong understanding of clean lines and simple design.

Great use of color. Work on hierarchy.

Excellent use of illustration! Be careful not to let it become a crutch.

Great use of type, color and illustration.

Nice work. Be careful with color combos.

Nice work on layouts, work on type and color.

Solid. Focus on small details.

The illustrations are beautiful and unique. The typography could be cleaned up a bit

so all pieces are very strong.

Nice job on your imagery and presentation. On some of your advertisements with all

capital letters, tighten up the leading to make your typography even stronger.

Great job! Your use of colors, imagery and type work well together.

Nice job overall. Keep typography issues in mind when working with large blocks of

type so everything looks consistent and professional. On your logos, work on showing

them applied in space or on a business card with an explanation for viewers. Also

consider different background colors in your mock ups to help your work pop more.

Your bottle package design is beautiful!

There's a nice diversity in the projects you've worked with. Keep pushing for solutions

and add more vibrant colors. Experiment with different scale on your logo for the

branding and add a product image to your packaging to be as clear as possible.

Great illustrations

Great layout skills and type.

Nice use of color, work on hierarchy

Needs better cropping placement of elements, but typography is mainly amazing

Good handle on scale of images and type, design elements drawn nicely.

Beautiful use so color and composition

You have a unique display of typography that's more organic and crafty. Nice job! Add

a description on your purpose or process to help bring your projects to life, especially

if you're not there to explain it. Your octopus package design is very strong and show

you think ahead so people can interact with it after they've used/finished the product.

It's also nice to see hand bound books!

Inconsistent approach to typography and iconography

Great layout, clean work, solid type.

Nice typography

Could benefit from more typography training

Approach to typographic not very mature

Pretty flat but colorful. Makes sense if he's a game designer

Typography is very weak. Personal notebook stands out as very successful

He's a designer that can work with type images and concepts

Strong illustration, inconsistent typography

Very weak portfolio overall

More restrained than other students I surveyed today, in a good way.

On your typography, consider the placement, background and kerning to keep your

message easily readable. The typefaces chosen represent the pieces well. With

kerning, try flipping the word(s) upside down to see the spacing rather than reading

the words. You communicate the message very well with your imagery and overall

message. Great job on your cocktails book and playing cards.

Very strong the definition of a designer is type, image, illustration and concepts

Your imagery, shapes, and colors are bold and strong. Nice job! Your mixmag spread

is well done. In your body type, look out for rivers and tight tracking to add readability.

Also experiment with consistent spacing in your type that is contained in a shape.

Utilize the negative space well in all of your pieces to convey your message.

2. Conceptual Thinking/Communication

How well does the work demonstrate conceptual thinking and ability tocommunicate its messages clearly and effectively?

COMMENTS (Conceptual Thinking/Communication):

Good idea of placement and text and has a strong sense of typography

Good sense of understanding and how the item will be used

Great concepts & copywriting.

Strong concept on smoking poster and converse campaign. Coffee addicts seemed a

bit heavy handedconceptually.

Push your concepts further, think outside the box.

Great concepts. A clockwork orange cover is killer.

Don't be so safe with concepts

Packaging, branding and editorial work is strong. Ad work concepts could use work.

Many of the designs contain minimal type so the image must be strong to support the

image. Seeing some of the sketches or progress may help tell the story.

The images and type work very well together.

Your branding, books and brochure are very strong pieces. Keep pushing the type on

your add to emphasize your image. Good job on the illustrations as well!

The bakery piece looks nice. Try to alter the opacity of the pattern on your business

card so it reads as a texture and doesn't compete with your information. The brown

colors are a wise choice since warm colors are more appetizing. The wood

background is a nice touch as well.

The old spice ad works well as the imagery and type treatment is consistent in each

of the environments. Make some of your own 8bit art when appealing to gamers

outside of Nintendo.

Overall the projects need more context

Strong concepts

Amazing conceptual thinking. Needs to translate better

Great concepts. Very cerebral

She could benefit from layering, conceptual thinking and deeper training camp in

typography.

Great concept on the social cause poster

On your uhcan ad, you may be conveying a different message with your imagery.

Emphasize the type that shows the purpose of your ad so it's instantly easy to

recognize.

Most solutions of concepts are quite obvious. Nothing stands out as surprising.

Strong concepts, keep pushing

Strong concepts, push your execution

He could benefit from layering and texture, everything is a bit flat. Logos are too flat.

I don't see big concepts here

He needs more training but on his way. Has to learn how to think visually. He's too

literal.

Very illustrative and not conceptual

He has a harder time capturing visuals to his concepts

Book design is a bit more conceptual. Other pieces were presented as mostly about

style, not concept.

Understanding is basic and flat. Would benefit from thinking visually

You easily convey your message with your verbiage, layout and imagery. Consider

color to help tie in your message while creating contrast. Use colors incorporated in

your imagery (the mirror color in your 2nd spread would contrast well on the purple).

Also the scissors in pretti/y woman would be more legible with the gray color to read it

as on unit.

Nice job combining your photography and graphics! It helps to display your product

and overall message.

3. Style/Consistency (for Advertising Campaigns &Branding Projects)

Is the design approach/style relevant to its audience/client? Is the "lookand feel" carried out consistently throughout a set of applications?

COMMENTS (Style/Consistency):

Has a strong sense of who the audience is and how to accurately connect with them

through her work

Nice consistency, especially on Oriormist.

Good work, especially on 'overtone'

Nice consistency, push and explore style though. You're too young for a style.

Great work on the editorial work.

Excellent.

There are consistencies with the placement of the type in relation of the image. Nice

job!

There is variation in the ads in regards to vector vs photography. Depending on how

these are presented on a website, it can help show more of your skill sets.

more type to describe who your demographic is.

Your different pieces have a diverse demographic and you do a good job in appealing

to each of them with your composition and imagery. It's hard to see who the

demographic for the logos at the bottom are for since there's no additional

information.

The top half of your presentation is more vibrant than the lower half, consider the

emotion of color when using it for different assets. (Such as logos, backgrounds, and

type)

Great branding work

Tre is awesome, nice work.

Branding is good, advertising is weak, especially conceptually

Nice job on your type pieces and layouts. Consider the size of your different pieces

as the smaller editorial pieces are harder to see details since they're smaller. On your

website, show the flat artwork and possibly a mock up to display your work.

Relevancy is more obvious, but stylistic consistency is lacking in many of her

projects.

Swiss army campaigns are killer

Nice branding work

Has command of publication design, not as good with type

Logo stretching is not acceptable

For game design

consistency is there, but style is not finessed

Has depth and range

Ad captain is the least developed in this oresentation

Ad campaign is quite strong

Mature

Consistent but not a developed look. Would benefit from more drama, like texture

and mood.

Your ideas are strong and you do a great job of tying in your message with simplifying

words with images. the package design is nicely done! The bakery shapes that

reduced to outlines give a nice quality to your packaging and adds a texture.

Branding is good, advertising is weaker for her but her collages are wonderful

evening. Hydrate typography is too heavy

You display an array of color that helps your message pop. On your traktor logo,

make sure your logo shape remains consistent throughout your mock ups. The

circular shape varies in your photos. On your packaging, also take a photo or make a

Great talker!

Very articulate and passionate.

Nice!

Talk more about the background of the pieces to bring them to life. Nice work!!

Very nice work! Keep pushing and experimenting to continue adding more strong

work in your portfolio!

Be more confident! Your work is great

Your work looks very playful and whimsical. Showcase your creek side logo a little

larger since it is well done and you can see more detail. You are successful at

creating unity between your front and back sections and your use of color is

considered to convey emotions.

The sharpie poster is very well balanced with your composition and imagery. Keep

working on your own illustrations to develop your style and have a unique look to your

work.

Well done! Keep working with your vector art to continue building your style and

showcase your work. (Also show the flat work with the die lines to show your process)

Digital presentation worked better than oral and print. But needs more context

A few tweaks to the presentation and it's great entry level work

Show concepts in context. They're great stand alone but in context would help them

standout

was confident.

Nice work, you could up your enthusiasm to reflect your work

Passionate, great presentation

Yes, he listened and wanted more feedback

A lot of "I like music" and not enough "why I did what I did"

He needs conceptual training and typography concentration.

Deandra spent more time explaining why she did what she did.

He could benefit from storytelling and understanding how to pull it together in the end.

Confident and charming

I am sure she was very nervous, but there wasn't a lot of "why" in her narrative

Are the characters engaging & professionally executed? Are theydesigned & posed in a way that represents the nature of the character?

COMMENTS (Character Designs):

More details would definitely help with your 3D models, your 2d characters are great.

Work on textures and shading.

Designs are clear and accurately depicts the type of character modeled. Some parts

of characters are a little plain, but overall gets the point across.

Beautiful character models. Clean edge loops not too heavy.

The demo reel needs music. There's a few awkward cuts where things are held too

long.

Concepts are nice, models textures and shading are poor.

Concepts are in design.

Characters are cleanly modeled but may need more polygons. Not enough details.

The characters amused me. Don't show tracings of things that are already

copyrighted.

Characters are well designed, however little to no motion was shown for them

I like "you're fired" characters.

Very nice lines and fun proportions.

Good designs but first one was too dark lighten that up. Focused a bit too long on the

plane animation, needs to be more dramatic.

Green Character is very muddy work on refining it

Characters are well designed and suit the nature of where they are placed in.

Fun character designs. Models need more detail.

Reel needs a lot of work. Games need to be in motion. Scrap and redo honestly.

Need to work on volume definition, kill your brush stuff, bevel edges

Designs are on a more basic level

Models need more edge loops and definitions.

Characters are modeled poorly.

Great characters

Designs are very unique and the poses match the design of the character

Characters well designed.

Characters are not too engaging, but represent the nature of where they fit in

definition.

Vanessa! Lots of things are too dark I couldn't see a lot of anything.

Nice use of texture layout in reel. Characters are a little blocky in proportions.

Decent designs.

Characters have some design that represents their nature

Cute and simple characters.

Seems to be what she enjoys most, has very interesting stories and character

descriptions for them

Fantastic examples of character, topology and overall design. Make some human and

animal characters too to keep stretching your modeling expertise!

Interesting character designs. Had a big focus on character props, which could be

more detailed and fleshed out

Interesting and complex character model. Clean edge loops on simple objects. Good

for video games but may need more detail for full production.

Very cool character concepts. Great attention to detail with their positioning and lore

to showcase their overall character

2. Technical Skills:

Do projects demonstrate technical/software proficiency (including wellconstructed 3D models, accurate representation of original designs, &overall technical production)?

COMMENTS (Technical skills):

Models show sharp edges

Understands the process from start to finish on how to create an animation, and how

to use programs such as Maya, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Very nicely designed models and environments.

Has a more beginner understanding on how to use the software

Design needs improvement.

Models are nice but need more detail.

Definitely need to rerender the whale footage it got a bit messed up. Rest of the stuff

moves through pretty quick, slow it down.

Proficient understanding of maya modeling, Photoshop, and illustrator

Very nice use of illustrator to create unique artwork. 3d models need more details.

Better lighting on models needed.

I'd probably want to see more rigging and more animating, also need more transitions

with the sounds it's very abrupt.

Where's the rigging????

Proficient use of modeling, animating, and the Adobe suite

Well composed shots. Camera moves too long.

Bring your modeling chops up

Has a good understanding of after effects, still beginner level at maya

Needs more focus on editing shots.

Good handle on software. Keep at learning how to light and model. Needs

Nice modeling skills

Very proficient in modeling, animation, motion capture, and after effects

Very nice lighting and modeling.

Decent understanding on how to model and animate in Maya, could use some more

work

Bevel your sharp edges

Cut the animations or refine them because they're kind of awkward.

Good understanding of modeling and texture layout.

Drawings are strong.

No video reel, has some knowledge of modeling, and texturing in maya

Texturing work is off to a great start but the 3D characters need a lot of work and

refinement. Especially the edges

Definitely! Only suggestion is to soften up the camera movements so that they are

less jerky by utilizing the graph editor and even less key frames

Good understanding of modeling, texturing, and animating in maya

Good understanding of model design. Lighting needs work, shots seem too dark.

Nice modeling skills, Your models are lowpoly yet detailed, and your topology seems

clear.

Fantastic work and finalization of all artistic mediums represented...character

modeling as well as character drawing and design. Great eye for lighting and

shading. Strong attention to detail regarding anatomy as well

There is a beauty to see the wire frame version as well, like a sculptor the form has a

your sketches are great, while I will still suggest to show some more completed

works, which will to show off your drawing skills better. Good job

The models and rendering further advance the life in which your drawings breath. The

technical ability to create a character in pose is striking and successful to where they

can exist on their own.

Would love to see more examples of a single character stopped in motion such as

your fans/ Personal blogging and posts mechanisms, for an institution such as an

animation company, or for fellow animators (etc). The point is to be direct and know

Your motions are jumpy. Need more animation principles

Some motions are a little slow/drawn out, but understands the movements in an

animation.

Animation skills need refining. Focus on timing and overlap of joints.

Walk cycle is bad

A basic understanding of principles

Great timing and spacing in balancing girl animation.

Did not show characters being animated, but the vehicle animation showed a basic

understanding of animation principles.

Whale swim cycle needs work

Camera animation needs cleaning up, too jumpy and sharp. Need to work on

animation principles.

Work on character animations.

Knows how to rig, knows how to animate with his rig. Vehicle animation wasn't too

Very nice timing and overlap on character animation.

Work on timing

Some animations are too slow, some animations are too fast

Animation too fast and cameras too hectic.

Nice sense of timing with your motion graphics

Proficient in the animation principles, understand them very well

Very strong sense of timing and syncing to audio.

Motions are either too drawn out or too choppy. Has a basic understanding

Walk cycles need work

See above

Fun walk cycle at end of reel.

Animation is clunky at times in walk cycles.

No animations presented

No demo reel to show movement. Character poses are fun and interesting.

None available

Yes! Really great work! But make sure the characters don't snap too much. Adding an

ease in and ease out will give them and the camera more of a softness to the

movement. It's a good idea to add this to even robots,

Some motions are stiff and slow has a basic understanding and proficiency in

animation principles

Animations are a little stiff and linear in movement.

Great understanding of motion design overall!

Capabilities for rendering are present, would enjoy seeing some further tweaking of

the movement. Though they are robotic there is a distinct visual language to how

Not much animation on demo reel. Robot movements need some more detail, very

basic.

Didn't really showcase animation skills.

Not much animation going on here

The motion graphics combined with the subtle robotic movement, were perfectly lean,

not forced, and lead me as a viewer to crave "more" or the next thing.

Limited animation shown, however the image that stuck out from the others is the

running image of the Character "nut Meg" as it left the rigidity from sketches behind

and where the viewer has the first sense of the personality that character may have.

Recommended reading: Jim Henson by Brian Jay Jones. There are instances this

book discussed between Jim Henson and Frank Oz where they speak about the

power and importance of the relationship between a character's eye and mouth (even

beautifully simple ones). You are achieving this relationship and may want to

investigate how the Henson team approached this, and how it made their characters

successful, as it can relate to animation.

4. Narrative

Is the story creative, unique, understandable, and believable (albeit notnecessarily realistic)? Are actions clear and wellcrafted? Are shots wellcomposed with a good use of camera?

Story is unique, but not too fleshed out from an animation point of view

Story on whale animation a little unclear.

Needs improvement with camera placement.

Characters are somewhat unique, but their actions pretty well crafted.

Actions are a little hard to follow.

Characters are believable, but not too unique

Story is hard to understand at times.

The characters in the stories fit, and actions are very well crafted

Story is somewhat unique, actions are not too clear

Characters are not so unique, but believable

Character stories are on their way to be interesting but could use additional

refinement regarding their stories and their relationships to each other and

environmentally. More lore for their design and personality

Confused on the animations narrative.

Story isn't too unique, but well portrayed and understandable

It's clear that the characters pictured have a strong identity, personality, motive and

environment

Your narrative though short establishes distinctly to viewer there is a conflict or

confrontation between characters, it is a large shift to how the smaller Charactor has

the larger's head. May also consider taking a slight anglers the frame of the shot

when the red ball is exchanged, as it would better clarify what is happening in the

action.

No clear story shown. Character in quick robot animation is believable, however

Demo reel well edited but not much in the way of story shown.

Your illustrations are fantastic and expected skill to see within the practice of a digital

artist. Though the full breath of the wider story is uncertain, there is a definite world

you set up in which has enough elements in presentation to collectively see where

this world's trajectory may be.

It appears that your characters are sincere and from the creative heart, perhaps

interests? In reference to your hallway environment please look up emerging artist

Keith Tilford, and his Server room animations, as the lighting and textures relate,

maybe interesting for you to see how he approaches these dynamics

How well do storyboards and drawings demonstrate conceptualthinking/clear and effective communication?

COMMENTS (Conceptual Thinking/Communication):

Good client base, good graphic design portfolio.

Nice character concepts

Strongest point

Drawings use shading and line work very well.

Landscapes were the best part, more of those.

Nice stills

The ideas are there, they just need to be fleshed out more

Nice paintings. Good use of color.

Good back stories for the people.

Very great concepts and designs, also explains them well

Cool stills

Beautiful concept character drawings.

Shark green textures don't seem intentional

Did not show much on the side of storyboarding

Work on more traditional concepts, draw more get your design skills up.

The ideas are there, just need to be fleshed out a lot

I like your conceptual work and good job on the characters

Clear idea on what she would like to work on, focus in

Texture scale  mind it more

Has a clear idea of what she would like to make

Clean designs and fun character drawings.

Her concepts are off to a great start! But there should be additional refinement for

their overall design and concept. Adding backgrounds will help solidify them. I

recommend discussing bullet points regarding them as well specific things about their

design

The design style, characters and actions area very well defined

No storyboards and drawings shown

Fantastic work overall!

Drawings are well detailed and look as though they show a clear purpose

Well laid out character designs and models.

If illustrations were storyboards I would not be able to know the direct story arc,

however you have successfully establish a world in which a viewers mind can

wonder. Recommended Reading: "Blood Child and other Short Stories" by Octavia

Butler

Your hand drawn characters have a common thread in which they seem to live in a

world together, setting up the possibilities of what the universe they live in is like.

Would enjoy to see the characters in context to a setting, not only for describing it's

surrounding, but also giving it scale. Is Nutmeg and Twig 2 inches, 2 feet, or two

stories tall? One can assume by how you verbally presented it, however it would be

powerful to see something to with them to allow viewer to place this concretely

6. Overall Presentation

COMMENTS (Overall Presentation):

Some of the drawings came out too dark, pop them in photoshop and use levels. I

would also go back and rework the logo and a more designed out resume. Probably

would do well with trimming out some of the pieces from the portfolio there is a lot

going on.

Shorten your reel, take out music

Lacks in some fields but understands what he needs to do to improve. Shows good

potential.

Very well done. Lots of nice variety of work and showcasing of skills.

Nervous but they did just fine.

Resume format is off. Reel is interlaced, cut a lot out like walk cycle, grey model on

black bg is bad.

Still has some basic/beginner work, but she understands what she wants to do and

what she needs to do to build on her CG knowledge.

Clear understanding of goals in the industry.

Spoke well, fly was down but spoke well. Trim down the portfolio a lot of stuff going

on.

Very confident and well voiced. Well suited for entry level on a graphic point of view,

can use a little more work for character animation.

Interlaced reel. Way too fast turn tables, remove viewport turntables. Check your

sharp edges on 3D models. Chill with the attitude a little, the cockiness is a little off

putting.

Very passionate about her craft. Character designs are excellent.

Reel needs music and shorter clips. Concepts in drawings are impressive.

Need way better pictures of things they're all washed out.

Watch your sharp edges on the base, and watch your muddy character modeling

Proficient understanding of modeling and animation. Has a good amount of entry

level work

Presentation needs work.

Need to figure out what your want.

Aims to look into being a producer. Could use a little more CG knowledge would help

him understand his goal position better

Be more level headed about professional goals. One step at a time.

Stop hanging around NYIT and go get a job already. You're ready.

Nice reel man! Just drags on a little long in some shots

Very proficient in this field, well suited for entry level positions

Great demo reel. Well timed and paced.

Great reel. Execution was professional level. Website is key!

Good understanding on texturing and has some good ideas. Can use a little more

work on modeling and animating

Self confidence goes a long way

Great layout of character models and textures.

In the right direction. Keep practicing animation and texturing.

No video reel hinders presentation. Could have shown a bit more variety in her

projects. For what is shown, has a good understanding of what she would like to do.

Portfolio needs improvement. Not sure if skill set is proven in execution.

Good understanding of character design.

Not available. But the presentation was very well organized

Student not present. Good knowledge and understanding of software, has some good

works that can be fleshed out more.

Fun model designs. May need more details.

I think your characters are very well designed. I like the way they are posed. I really

think you really have a good sense of dynamic, great job overall, I will suggest you to

look into the game industry.

Not available but the presentation was very well done

N/a ( not present)

Student not present. Drawings and illustrations seemed to be the main focus. 3D

work could use some more polishing on all stages and could show more 3D works

Very strong character ideas. Well rendered drawings and solid models. Need more

animation to shown characters in action.

Showcase more animation if possible.

You have great preproduction skills, challenge yourself and keep on the good work

N/a (not present)

Smart in my opinion to provide professional elements of exchange such as business

cards and resume. Perhaps more effective provide cards, and use the resume as a

way to direct people to your website as it is still growing. Presenting is a tough thing

even to seasoned lecturers, what I appreciated was your directness and eye contact

in the limited time we had. Be and stay confident of your characters, it seems you

love their design, let the audience know beyond that, and why they or a specific

audience would too.
