Background
With the paradigm shift to knowledge/information-based society, knowledge and
information are now perceived as one of the major resources defining the competitive-
ness of an individual as well as a nation unlike in the past industrial society.
MOGEF proposes to share its informatization experiences at the national level to help
other nations deal with the digital divide issues. Also, it plans to provide an opportunity
to enlarge the social participation of women by presenting and operating a model
designed to step up women’s information utilization power.

Providing a training service specifically designed to narrow the digital divide
The training program will present a women-centric informatization education model to tr
ain women IT managers in the digital era, and operate IT application training combined
with management activities in order to support the efforts to upgrade the competitivenes
s and enhance the role of women.
