1 Peter 3:20-21“who once were disobedient, when the
patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in
which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. 21
Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,”

2 Peter 2:5
"and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a preacher of
righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of
the ungodly;"
4
Introduction:• Peter instructs us that Noah was a
preacher of righteousness, to save the world from the universal flood.–In the account we see God's grace,
mercy, love, and wrath - Rom. 11:2; Rom. 1:18
–God did not want to destroy His greatest creation and so He provided a way of salvation.
6
Genesis 6:13-18
“Then God said to Noah, "The end of all flesh has come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them; and
behold, I am about to destroy them with the earth. 14 "Make for yourself an ark of
gopher wood; you shall make the ark with rooms, and shall cover it inside and out
with pitch. …”
7
Genesis 6:13-18
“… 15 "This is how you shall make it: the length of the ark three hundred cubits, its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty
cubits. 16 "You shall make a window for the ark, and finish it to a cubit from the top;
and set the door of the ark in the side of it; you shall make it with lower, second, and
third decks. …”
8
Genesis 6:13-18
“… 17 "Behold, I, even I am bringing the flood of water upon the earth, to destroy all
flesh in which is the breath of life, from under heaven; everything that is on the
earth shall perish. 18 "But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife,
and your sons' wives with you.”
