The construction site boundaries are west of Social Science, south of Social Science parking lot, east of the West Lane Service Entrance to UCC and north of UCC.
The West Substation Expansion Project will expand the footprint of existing electrical substation moving westward towards the West Lane Service Road. The project when complete will increase the campus electrical capacity to meet the increasing demands for electricity.

The main construction site for the Substation will be bordered by fixed construction fence, but work to install buried electrical duct banks along the full length of the West Lane Service Road will have temporary barricades and markings during these activities. Heavy equipment and construction activities will create temporary lane restrictions at times. Individual Service Interruption Notices will be issued for significant lane restrictions and lane closures.
7 am to 5 pm daily.
