ASSIGNING TEAMS

1. Players sign-up as individuals

2. Players assigned to teams as they arrive

3. Players assigned to team by numbering each player randomly (All players with the same number are on the same team)

1 set pop-up goals per mini-field 4 corner flags or cones per mini-field Pinnies Balls Standard game-day stuff…first aid

kits, trash bins, marking equipment (if used)

4v4 or 5v5 20 minute games, 10 minutes

between games No goalkeepers 4 “micro fields” on one regular size

BASIC GAME RULES

KEEP IT SIMPLE

•Shin guards and shoes for all•Pinnies to differentiate teams•Coin toss should determine direction and possession at start of each game•Pop-up goals for each field•Cones to mark touchlines & corners

• No offside rule• Goal kicks taken from the goal line• Kick-ins instead of throw-ins• Penalty kicks taken from half line• Everybody has fun…players and

Offer challenging, skill-related activities for players in addition to the Soccerfest games:

•“Skillfest” stations

• Soccer Golf

• Shootout Goal area

“SKILLFEST” STATIONS

• Throw-ins for accuracy and distance

• Obstacle course dribbling for speed and control

• Passing for accuracy and distance

• Shooting for speed, upper90 and lower90

SOCCER GOLF

• 9-holes, par 3

• Tee-boxes are cones

• Hole Distances - 25 to 100 yards

• Holes are hula hoops or training circles

• May Tee-off with instep kick

• Must putt with inside/outside foot pass

• Must finish inside the hole

SHOOTOUT CHALLENGE

• Soccerfest Team Challenge another Soccerfest Team to a Shootout (Kicks From The Mark)

• Each Team must both Shoot and Goalkeep

• Number of players may be limited or whole team shoots

• Part of entry fee or may charge an additional fee

WRAP-UP

• Give out Prizes/Awards• Clean-up• Send out Thank-yous to all contributors

with pictures from the Soccerfest• Pay any Bills• Turn in any money received with proof

of expenses• Volunteer Party
