A letter from Lillian Rodrigues-Pang

Hello All

As per most full time artists I am meant to have a fair bit of spare time on my hands

and yes paid work has ceased but family and caring responsibilities have increased

to the tenth degree I am fortunate that I have had the opportunity in the past to

have travelled and performed with storytelling and met a wonderful group of people

and seen incredible communities built around storytelling In 2019 I decided it was time to finally give

back and I floated the concept of Southern Skies Storytelling Festival - an Australian based performance

Storytelling Festival featuring multilingual tellers It was unfunded although a number of organizations

and theatres committed their in-kind support offering venuesstaffetc That was enough for me to

commit -)

Well that festival should have been on right now In its place each teller that was lined up to perform

has sent me a low-fi video of one story told to the camera I have put each of them up on my YouTube

channel and really hoping people can respond to them- create a song story in response artwork -

anything really cause I miss storytelling connection and interaction

I hope you enjoy

and yes paid work has ceased but family and caring responsibilities have increased

to the tenth degree I am fortunate that I have had the opportunity in the past to

have travelled and performed with storytelling and met a wonderful group of people

and seen incredible communities built around storytelling In 2019 I decided it was time to finally give

back and I floated the concept of Southern Skies Storytelling Festival - an Australian based performance
