Alpha Quarterback Academy provides quarterbacks with positive and confidence-building experiences in order to encourage and enable them to reach their full potential as players on the field and people off it.

Alpha Quarterback Academy is the country’s only dedicated quarterback academy, focusing on all aspects of quarterback play, including skill development, training, nutrition and leadership. Not only do we train our participants to excel on the football field, but we help them transfer these skills into their lives to become contributing and leading participants in their families, schools and communities. A quarterback attending an Alpha Quarterback Academy camp can expect excellent coaching, innovative techniques and rapid development enabled by the use of technology, as well as a challenging message to embrace leadership opportunities in their life.

At Alpha, we believe that quarterback training at its best focuses on the heart of the individual and works out from there. We believe that quarterbacking is about embracing the opportunity and challenge of being a leader and a servant to those around us; to inspire those around us and to leave a lasting impact on the people who know us.

We believe that through sound teaching, everyone has the chance to develop the tangible skills that are pre-requisites to being an effective quarterback on the field…but it is the heart and soul, the courage, strength and determination of the individual that will dictate the true greatness that a quarterback can achieve.

We believe that a quarterback’s legacy is not measured by the number of games his team wins, the records he sets or the touchdown passes he throws in a game… he will be remembered in the hearts of the people that are inspired by his words and his actions.

As a family – both player and parents – you may be asking yourself, “There are so many football camps available, why should we invest our time and money in Alpha Quarterback Academy? What’s so different about Alpha?“ At Alpha, we believe there are three important factors that distinguish us from other football camps:

1. quality of instruction

The commitment to quality of instruction at Alpha’s quarterback camps is crucial in distinguishing us as a top-level quarterback academy. We understand the demands – in terms of both time and money – placed on today’s families, and we believe that when a family invests in their child, they deserve the best service available. Each member of the Alpha family is dedicated to working tirelessly toward furthering their knowledge of quarterback training; we believe that settling or keeping the status quo is cheating our participants and taking for granted the blessing we have been given to work with young people within the context of the greatest game on Earth. Therefore, rest assured that you will receive the highest quality of instruction available when you register for a camp at Alpha Quarterback Academy.

2. camp structure

Alpha’s camp structure provides a two-fold benefit to participants: firstly, the low player-to-coach ratio allows players to get more one-on-one time with coaches, which will contribute greatly to their retention and rapid development through constant reinforcement.

Secondly, the diverse range of skills taught at Alpha’s Skill Camps contribute to the efficiency, effectiveness and relevance of our camps – we believe that over the course of a two-day camp, we can teach our participants every skill required to improve their on-field play. Each participant receives instruction in the gym, weight room and classroom that is tailored specifically to improving the player’s performance on the field. There is no wasted time at an Alpha camp - each drill, classroom segment and exercise is purposeful and meaningful, and will contribute to the improvement of the participant.

The Academy’s mission is to provide our participants with positive and confidence-building experiences in order to encourage and enable each participant to reach his full potential both on and off the field. We believe that this mission is the final and perhaps most important distinguishing feature of Alpha Quarterback Academy: we treat each player with respect and dignity and in accordance with our belief that each of our participants can change the world in their own way. We place high expectations on our participants and relay a call to them – to be leaders and individuals of influence and inspiration in the world. We feel honoured and blessed at Alpha to work with young people in this great context, and we believe that the relationships our participants with develop with our coaches and with each other will lead to a truly life-changing experience.

about coach siddall Alpha founder and Academy Director Coach David Siddall brings with him a unique background which makes him the ideal individual to teach young quarterbacks and help them become leaders in their homes, schools and communities.

A graduate from the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba, Coach Siddall is not only an educator but possesses significant football experience including coaching at the high school, junior and professional levels, as well as being the lead quarterback coach at several university skill camps, and working multiple quarterback camps in the United States.
