MCA-MONGOLIA: TVET PROJECT ACTIVITIES AND OUTCOMES

1. Intensive Technical English Training = 70,500 USD;

2. 8 basic technical laboratories with 900 sq.m = 677,663 USD;

3. The latest equipment for 8 basic technical laboratories, including mining heavy machine operators, hydraulics/pneumatics, mechanics, electrics/electronics, mechatronics, welding & diesel engines = 1,752,638 USD;

4. Apprenticeship training of 6 technical trainers at Wagner Asia Equipment LLC for 1,8 months = 180,000 USD;

5. Study tour to Central Queensland Institute of TAFE, Quality Management System, Certificate IV, Strategic Planning Training under Twinning program for human resource capacity building and transfer of similar school technologies covered 46 trainers and staffs = 300,000 USD;

6. Multimedia training laboratory – 1, video conferencing hall - 1, audio & video studio – 1 = 300,000 USD;

7. Training of multimedia and electronic training means trainers – 3;

8. Training of 2 CBT national trainers; 7

POSSIBLE FUTURE PROJECTS:

To provide sustainability of the project activities:• Undertake intensive English language skills to

move current staff from conversational English to Technical English. This will allow trainers to comprehend the international training manuals to deliver to International Standards;

• Undertake exchange with CQIT in Australia to provide the college trainers with a induction to CBT. This would include both observation, team teaching and individual delivery of Australian competencies in block training (5 teachers+1 training manager X 6 weeks)

POSSIBLE FUTURE PROJECTS:

• Comfortable school bus for 50 students for field training;

• Mini off-set printing machine for printing CBT logbooks and training packages for students;

• Mobile training vehicle with full furnishment of heavy machine maintenance and repair tools & supplies;

• The vehicle will also be used to conduct independent evaluation of skills existing workers at mine sites and to accredit their qualifications;
