Agnieszka RadwańskaRadwańska holds a number of tennis accolades. She is the first Polish player in the Open

Era to reach the singles final of a Grand Slam (the 2012 Wimbledon Championships), the first Pole to claim a WTA Impressive Newcomer in 2006.

Radwańska has been voted the WTA's most popular player for four consecutive years (2011–2014), the most of any woman, in polls held by WTATennis.com. For her

accomplishments in sport and for representing her country with distinction, in 2013 she was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit. singles title, and was one half of the first Polish

team to win the Hopman Cup tournament. In addition, she won the WTA Award for Most

Kamil StochPolish ski jumper, a member of the

national team, World Champion 2013 (large hill) and double Olympic

Champion 2014, a participant of the Olympic Games (2006, 2010), bronze

medalist in team at World Championships 2013.

On 26 January 2013 he became the joint holder of the Polish ski flying

distance record (tying the mark held by Piotr Zyła) with a jump of 232.5

metres. He is the current World Cup holder, having won in 2013–14.

Robert Lewandowski

After being the top scorer in the third and second tiers of

Polish football with Znicz Pruszków, he moved to top-flight Lech Poznań, and was

the top scorer in the league as they won the 2009–10

Ekstraklasa. In 2010, he transferred to Borussia

Dortmund for a reported €4.5 million, where he won honours

including two consecutive Bundesliga titles. Before the start of the 2014 season, he moved to their rivals Bayern

Munich.

A full international for Poland since 2008, Lewandowski has

earned over 65 caps and was a member of their team at Euro 2012. With 23 goals, he ranks

eighth among their top scorers of all time.

Kamila Lićwinko

Polish athlete specializing in the

high jump. Her personal bests in

the event are 1.99 metres

outdoors (2013) and 2.02 metres

indoors (2015). Both are current

Polish national records. She won

the gold medal at the 2014 World

Indoor Championship ex aequo

with Mariya Kuchina.

Michał Kwiatkowki A Polish professional road

bicycle racer for UCI ProTeam Etixx-Quick Step. Kwiatkowski is seen as a strong all rounder, with good sprinting and climbing abilities. His talent was shown in early career winning the World Junior Time Trial. In 2014, Kwiatkowski became the world champion of elite men's road race at the age of 24. He was also a member in the Omega Pharma-Quick-Step World Team Time Trial winning team in 2013.

Otylia Jędrzejczak

Polish swimmer. She is the Olympic champion from Athens

2004 in the 200 metre butterfly. She finished 4th in

this event in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. She also swam in a third Olympiad, at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. In Athens 2004 she

also silvered in 400 m freestyle and 100 m butterfly. Three times she broke the world

record in the women's 200 m butterfly (once in the 25-metre

pool).

Anita Włodarczyk

Zbigniew Bródka

Polish speed skater and a 2014

Olympic champion in 1500

metres. He also works as a

firefighter in the State Fire

Service station in Łowicz.

Marcin Gortat

Polish professional basketball player who currently plays

for the Washington Wizards of the National Basketball Association

(NBA). The 6 ft 11 in, 240-pound center is the son of boxer Janusz Gortat. He

was a second-round draft choice of the Phoenix Suns in the 2005 NBA draft and was traded for future cash

considerations to the Orlando Magic. In 2010, he

was traded back to Phoenix.
