ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Given that the abstracts will be reproduced in the Book of Abstracts, which will be the supplement to the
ACTA PAEDIATRICA Journal, exactly in the form they are submitted, authors are kindly requested to adhere to the following submission guidelines: A. Format a) Language: English b) Abstract text word limit: 300 words (names and affiliation details are not included) c) Suggested font: Tahoma, size 10 cpi d) Text alignment: Justified e) Spacing between the title, the author(s) and the abstract text: Single f) Line spacing of the text: Single g) Abstract title typed in: UPPER CASE h) The last name(s) of the author(s) should be written in lower case preceded by the first name(s) of the author(s) written in full. i) The presenting author’s name must be written in bold. j) All authors’ affiliation details [department, institution / hospital, city / town, state (if applicable) and country] should be written under the names, preceded by the corresponding indices. The affiliations should NOT be mentioned in the abstract text.
k) The abstract should follow the below standard structure (the titles being typed in lower case and in bold): Introduction Aim Material-Methods Results Conclusion
l) The text may include standard abbreviations, tables, diagrams and photographs, as long as they remain within the page margins and the total amount of words does not exceed the above mentioned limit (300 words).

ACCREDITATION The 1st PNAE Congress on Paediatric Nursing will apply to
the International Council of Nurses for International Continuing Nursing Education Credits (ICNECs).
The HNA’s Secretaries in collaboration with the Congress organizers under the close supervision of Evangelos Dousis (and the other members of Pediatric Sector) and the valuable help of Prof Helen Kyritsi (President of HNA) are working on this process.

MAIN BARRIERS Contact and Abstract Submission Problems due to an error in website
Fiona Smith, Konstantinos Petsios & Dr Matziou had to deal with an average of more that 10-15 mails per day
Delayed communication with the Turkish Association Fiona Smith, Konstantinos Petsios & Dr Matziou made several efforts for more
than two weeks in order to contact the right person in Turkey Main barrier was the communication in English Nevertheless, after the establishment of a communication with Prof Ayse Ocacsi
the cooperation was perfect.
Authors did not follow the instructions for abstract submissions All the abstracts were reformed in order to have a homogeneous form by a team
from the Hellenic Paediatric Sector coordinated by Dr Matziou Corrected proofs were sent back to Acta Paediatrica All authors were informed about the reformation by the scientific committee.
Four invited speakers/moderators had to withdrawn their original
acceptance due to personal or professional reasons. There was a delay in the confirmation of the final program. They were all replaced asap
