Hello, here is a new photo of our children's Sunday School. Hope you enjoy. Archie
1 Peter 4 1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the Will of God.
4
A made-up mindmade-up mind is powerful armor.
Fully determinedFully determined to do the Will of GodWill of God, no matter what the costwhat the cost, we are victorious.
This willingness to sufferwillingness to suffer any pain, any hardship, any persecution to doto do the Will of God
Is the mark of onemark of one who has turned from sinturned from sin.
5
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, butbut to the Will of God.
6
Every momentmoment that we spend fulfilling the lusts of the flesh is wasted timewasted time.

1 John 2 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in himis not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the Will of God abideth for ever.
8
Every value, every goal of this world excludes Godexcludes God.
9
The lust of the flesh are those bodily appetites that overcome a personovercome a person: sexual, pleasure, excitement, adrenaline junkies, gluttony, drunkenness, drugs.
The lust of the eyes -- he wants everything he sees.
The pride of life -- "Look at me and what I have."
"Look at what I've achieved."
Philippians 3 7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for Whom I havehave suffered the loss of all things, and do count count themthem but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
10
10 That I may know Him, and the Power of His Resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
11
The Apostle Paul had the mindsetmindset that Jesus had:
He would obey the Lord whatever the costwhatever the cost.
That is powerful armor: the devil cannot defeatcannot defeat one who has that determination.
12
Arm yourselvesArm yourselves likewise with the same mind.Ask yourselves this question: What would you do
to fulfill the Will of God for your life?
Where would you draw the line and say,
"I can't go that far."
"That price is asking too much."
13
Jesus didn't draw any lines.
He went all the way.
