United States

• The Green Suppliers Network is progressing well and is effecting behavioral change within many industries in the United States. It continues to serve as a sound template for greening supply chain activities throughout North America and has recently attracted international attention through the OECD.

• The Suppliers’ Partnership for the Environment – U.S. is accelerating its efforts to develop a materials assessment strategy which focuses on chemical use within the Automotive supply chain. Recently, Subaru, Honda, Nissan and Hyundai/Kia joined SP members General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and several of their chemical suppliers in this effort. The SP is completing this effort in phases and is on an accelerated schedule.
