– Accuracy of data questionable
– Information often outdated
– No 24-hour telephone access
– No electronic health record
– No world-wide access; no translation available
– No emergency responder education program.

Potential emergency situations where MedicAlert can speak on behalf of their member:

• Allergies / Anaphylaxis

• Communication impairments: deaf, mute, too young, too old,
language barriers (travel)
