Family Ministry Night
Have you heard? Family Ministry Night is coming to LCCOG! Beginning on July 27th –
bring the whole family to Life Community Church of God on Wednesday nights at 6:30
PM. We will have Men’s Bible Study, Women’s Bible Study, Kids’ Club and nursery.
Our schedule will look something like this:
6:30 PM Nursery opens, ages 5 and up meet in the sanctuary for opening prayer and a couple of worship songs (we’ll sing with videos to keep it simple).
6:45 PM – Kids’ Club will be dismissed to go to their classroom, Men’s Bible Study will move to the Fellowship Hall, Women’s Bible Study will stay in the sanctuary.
8 PM – All classes dismissed.

This is a great opportunity for discipleship for the whole family! The men will continue the study they are currently working through on Monday nights – but they’ll meet on Wednesdays instead. The women will begin with an 8 week study of the Names of God and our children will play games and learn and discuss scripture. Every couple of months we’ll bring everyone together for a fun fellowship event like our Extreme Bacon Challenge, a Christmas Party or other celebration.
We hope that you will join us as we grow deeper in the Word of God and deeper in our friendships together. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, July 27th.

Pastor’s Corner Reset Button
Way back in the “Olden” times computers used to lock up every ten minutes. At least it seemed that way. It happened so often the manufacturer installed a reset button on each computer. Today, you would throw that computer away, but back then, these devices were new and life changing. We all new they would lock up and we all counted on that reset button.
The beauty of the computer-reset button is that it would fix the problem and bring you right back to where you were without shutting down and restarting.
In life we all experience times where it seems we are “locked up.” Our families just seem to be stuck and unable to work properly. Even our spiritual lives seem to “lock up” and nothing seems to be alive. You know what I am talking about. Don’t you? Things go wrong. Circumstances collide and shut down progress. Worries, troubles, and demonic attacks pour over you like an avalanche and freeze up all that once burned with the fire of the Holy Spirit and excitement.
Well, I am just like you. Parts of my life “lock up.” Parts of my spiritual fervor freeze up and I need a reset button just as much as any of you. This past week, I went to the DELMARVA-DC Church of God Camp Meeting and I pushed the reset button.
After all the challenges of Seminary; after my massive “widow-maker” pulmonary embolism; after your First Lady’s (my wife’s) car accident, surgery, and painful recovery; after my father’s stroke; after my detached MCL and back injury; after burying four friends; and after all the other personal trials Amber and I have gone through, I needed to press the reset button and I did.
The rest of this summer is your opportunity to do the same. You will notice, I kept serving during this whole trial and reset process. You can do the same. Reset does not mean quit. Reset means you get back to building strong godly families. Reset means you get back to building strong godly friendships in the church. Reset means you get back to stirring up the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Reset means you get back to joyful worship and service.
Join me as I push the reset button for Life Community Church of God.…………….. Sorry, I had to take a moment and SHOUT. Hallelujah!!!!!!
