2 - CAB

2.1 - Access to the CabEnter and exit the cab facing the machine.All controls to operate the harvester are located inside the cab.

Important!Always use the stairs and handrails up and down the access platform.

2.2 - Controls and InstrumentsBecome familiar with switches and controls, before operating the machine.

4.1 - Operation Crop DividersTo engage harvesting functions, push down and push forward the switch (A).

Push down and push forward on switch to enable side knives.

Floating Crop DividersPress switch (B) to enable the floating.

4.2 - Adjust Crop DividerUse switches (E) and (F) to adjust tilt of the dividers up or down.Adjust height the dividers pressing switches (I).

16 - MAINTENANCE

16.1 - Contamination Risks

Important!Always dispose of waste properly in appropriate containers. Clean and protect the filler during maintenance, avoiding contamination of the system. 16.2 - Good Practices for Maintenance

- Check fluid levels: engine oil, hydraulic oil, engine coolant, and diesel fuel.

- Inspect blades on: side knives (if equipped), base cutter, chopper, topper, primary extractor, and secondary extractor (if equipped).

- Clean harvester of excess mud and trash.- Check engine belt and tensioner.- Check tension of elevator chain.- Check fluid level: final drives base cutter, chopper and pump drive

gear case.

7.1 - Pump Drive Gear CaseThe level should be within the green rectangle, if necessary add oil, removing fill plug (B).A - Sight GaugeB - Fill Plug

Note:Check level when oil is cold.

9 - CHOPPERCuts the clean cane billets and then delivers the billets to the elevator basket.

Note:The choppers blades should always be in good condition and synchronized, thus reducing losses and increasing efficiency.

Adjust the length of the billets by turning handle (A).The lower the selected number, smaller will be length of the billets.

11 - ELEVATORTransports and dumps the chopped cane in transport systems.

11.1 - Operation ElevatorTo turn Off or On elevator, pressing switch (A).

Use switch (B) to swing elevator left or right, until desired position.

Press and hold elevator reverse switch (B) to operate elevator in reverse.

To raise or lower the elevator press switches (D and E).

Engage the extractor pressing switch (A).

Use switches (B) to rotate extractor hood to right or left.

12 - ENGINE

12.1 - Cooling SystemAdd coolant in expansion tank, whenever necessary.A - ReservoirB - Cap

Important!The coolant should be the proportion of water and additive recommended in the Operator’s Manual.

12.2 - Fuel SystemA - Primary Fuel FilterB - Secondary Fuel FilterC - Prefilter Element

Note:The fuel purity and cleanliness are factors for the proper functioning of the system.

12.4 - Lubrication SystemCheck level of engine oil, removing dipstick (A) and level should be in the range of the crosshatch pattern of the dipstick.

Note:See the Operator’s Manual for information about changing the oil and filter (B) system.

13 - ELECTRICAL SYSTEMFuses are protection devices that break whenever excessive current flows through the circuit.

Fuse center is on front, left-hand side of harvester.

Batteries are on left-hand side of cab platform.

Important!Before making repairs to the electrical system, turn the battery disconnect switch, avoiding the risk of short circuit.

10 - EXTRACTORThe extractor removes trash, leaves and dirt from the cane.

Caution!Replace fan blade when blade thickness at location (A) is at 5,00 mm (0.197 in.). See the Operator’s Manual for details.
