[57] Abstract:

Methodologies are described that facilitate inter-eNode B handover. In various embodiments, logical protocol termination can be implemented between the user equipment and the target eNode B for inter-eNode B handover signaling. The provided handover forwarding and encapsulation mechanisms enable improved inter-operability between eNode Bs implementing different protocol versions or from different vendors, which in turn enables frequent protocol upgrades. Additionally, the invention enables the target eNode B to implement new radio configurations even if the configuration is unsupported by the source eNode B.

[57] Abstract:

A control system for controlling an operation of a hydroelectric turbine. The control system comprises a converter system to convert AC power, supplied by a generator connected to the turbine, and having a voltage and frequency that is a function of a rotational speed of the turbine, to AC power having a voltage and frequency of a transmission system for transmitting the AC power to a receiving station. The system further comprises a control unit that is arranged to co-operate with the converter system to adjust the AC voltage supplied by the generator in response to a water flow speed through the turbine to thereby control rotation of the turbine. The converter system comprises a first-stage converter and a second-stage converter, with a DC link provided between the first and second-stage converters. The first-stage converter is arranged to convert the AC power supplied by the generator to DC power. The second-stage converter is arranged to convert the DC power to the AC Power for transmission to the receiving station and the second-stage converter is of a current- source inverter type.

A vane-type fluid transmission device includes a rotor eccentrically located in the room of a stator and the outer periphery of the rotor is tangent to the inner periphery of the room. At least one blade is pivotably connected to stator and movably inserted in at least one slot of the rotor. The distal end of the at least one blade is in contact with the inner periphery of the room so as to form a space for receiving fluid between the outer periphery of the rotor and the inner periphery of the room. The contact between the at least one blade and the inner periphery of the room increases the efficiency for transmitting fluid which enters into the stator from an inlet and leaves from the stator from an outlet.

[57] Abstract:

A release film for producing a green sheet of the present invention includes a base material and a release agent layer. The release agent layer is formed by irradiating an active energy ray to a coated layer formed by coating a material for forming release agent layer to a first surface. The material for forming release agent layer contains an active energy ray curable compound (A) having at least one reactive functional group selected from the group consisting of a (methyl) acryloyl group, an alkenyl group and a maleimide group, a polyorganosiloxane (B) and a carbon nanomaterial (C). An arithmetic average roughness Ra1 of an outer surface of the release agent layer is 8nm or less and a maximum projection height Rp1 thereof is 50nm or less. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a release film for producing a green sheet which is capable of producing the green sheet having high reliability and preventing a pinhole and a partial thickness variation in a surface of the green sheet from generating.

[57] Abstract:

A method of controlling a brushless permanent-magnet motor. The method comprises dividing each half of an electrical cycle of the motor into a conduction period followed by a primary freewheel period. The conduction period is then divided into a first excitation period, a secondary freewheel period, and a second excitation period. The method then comprises exciting a winding of the motor during each excitation period and freewheeling the winding during each freewheel period. The secondary freewheel period has a position and length within the conduction period that acts to reduce the harmonic content of current in the winding relative to back EMF in the winding. As a result, the efficiency of the motor is improved.
