This industrial construction deals with complex chemicaltreatment o raw coke oven gas produced in coke

oven batteries while the coal is converted into coke.The method o scrubbing the gas requires a lot otechnology devices and equipment, required to preparethe load-bearing structure, access structures, etc. Theindividual devices are interconnected by large fow omediums, or which the pipe bridges, at or spatialsupports were designed within the steel structures.The total tonnage o steel structures or the specicoperation was about 965 tons.

We have been working with Advance Steel or morethan 4 years. This detailing sotware helped my entireteam because we could split a big project and worksimultaneously.

Why am I so enthusiastic about the sotware? I can workin 3D. I can see all the connections. I can immediatelysee i there are any problems or collisions, i the

structure can be done as I thought.

Another advantage o this steel detailing sotwarepackage, especially or very large structures, is theMulti-User mode, which helped us to signicantlyreduce the project time. Also, the Stairs and railingsdeserves a special mention as it had a major impact onour productivity, as did the automatic detailing whichallowed us to create almost all the drawings by the nextmorning.

The Youth Housing project in Giurgiu was donewith Advance Concrete, a modeling and detailingsotware or reinorced concrete structures. Thestructure, which has an underground, a groundfoor and 2 levels, consists o 3 sections, while theinrastructure uses a slab oundation design.

The time required or modeling and detailing

this project was signicantly reduced. Threeengineers worked simultaneously on this project,successully using the Multi-User technology. Allproject data were stored in a common databasethat could be accessed by all those involved.

With projects as complex as this one, where theduration is at least several months, a reduction o20% is very signicant.
