Apollo Hospital is a 600 bedded corporate state-of-the-art multispeciality tertiary care centre catering to not only India, but other countries in the Indian sub continent. It is equipped with the latest technical Infrastructure and has perhaps the finest manpower this side of the world. Oncology is one of the busiest services existing and has an efficient hospital based tumour registry.
I head an independent Surgical Oncology Unit aided by 2 senior
consultants, 1 Associate Consultant, 2 post-graduate senior residents, 2 junior residents, oncology nurses and co-ordinators. Efficient coexistence with medical oncologists, haemato oncologists, and radiation oncologists ensures world class treatment, often in consultation with and endorsed by our colleagues at Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Centre, New York, M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston Texas and Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital, London. Our unit is a model of long distance treatment and learning (telemedicine) and maintains an unto date cancer registry.

Batra Hospital Is a 290 bedded state of the art multispeciality tertiary care centre catering to Northern India. Division of Oncology comprising 3 Surgical Oncologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists and 1 Haemato-Oncologists and 6 Senior and Junior Residents, is one of the Busiest specialities offering comprehensive services of the highest order, to vast numbers flocking to the Outpatient's department.
I head an independent Surgical Oncology Unit aided by two post
graduate Senior residents, dealing with all type of cancers. Availability of Frozen section diagnosis, Cytopathology, Brachytherapy and Tumor marker analysis renders precision and makes its possible to offer quality Conservative Oncological resections. Efficient Interaction exists with Neurosurgeons, Orthopaedicians and Reconstructive Surgeons in order to perform highly complex ablative and restorative procedures. Courteous counselling, the concept of kind palliation and appropriate use of occupational therapy are some of the features worthy of mention.

It is the most vital program – the ‘Central Drug Repository’. This program is an honest attempt at providing subsidized/free lifesaving cancer drugs to ‘Below Poverty Line Patients’. Since its inception in April 2009, approximately 25 patients have benefitted by getting drugs worth Rs. 74 Lakh
