Alliance Innovative will continue to grow into the futureNEXT

Alliance Innovative began as FP PLA Tool & Manufacturing in 1945, when Spanish immigrant Ferdinand Pedro Pla opened a small machine shop in Buffalo, New York. Company President Richard St. John joined FP PLA in 1975 as a machinist, became a full partner in 1982, and president in 2006.

In 1992 St. John started East Coast Tool--a cutting tool services fi rm--as a side project in the back corner of FP PLA. The side project quickly grew to need its own 5,000 sq. ft. facility.

FP PLA and East Coast Tool rejoined under one roof in 2008, bringing the companies full circle as equal partners in Alliance Innovative.

The creation of Alliance Innovative was a logical step in the company’s aggressive growth initiative. The name Alliance Innovative Manufacturing was chosen to refl ect both companies’ long-held focus on creating signifi cant long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers, and continually fi nding fresh solutions to production, quality, and effi ciency.

QUALITY Quality Assurance Managers respect us because we are ISO9001 and AS9100 Certifi ed through SAI Global. Even if you are not required to use certifi ed vendors, you benefi t from the world-class quality, effi ciency, and customer satisfaction requirements to which we are certifi ed. We employ frequent Kaizen events, bar coding technology, and daily GEMBA production walks to prevent missed operations and fl ag obstacles before they occur.

Manufacturing Engineers respect us because our facility is adaptable to fi t the needs of the part. We can acquire machines, programs, and personnel on an as-needed basis. Whether short-runs, productions-runs, large or small parts, our 40,000 sq. ft. lean-engineered facility is designed to adapt. We are respected for our large diameter turning capabilities and the close tolerances we hold at any size. We offer a wide envelope range across all machining departments including turning, milling, honing, grinding, and EDM.

ENGINEERING

Purchasing Managers respect us because we have a strong commitment to long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers, and our philosophy on customer retention and expansion is a refl ection of that. We employ advanced scheduling systems to improve lead time estimation and responsiveness to changes in your requirements. We provide real-time updates on production status and customized reports containing any information you require.

PURCHASING

Manufacturers typically come to us with complex, medium to large sized close tolerance machining work that no other shop could tackle successfully.

In 70 years of machining complex parts, we’ve learned that the greatest contribution we can make is to take the untouchable jobs off your hands and off your mind.

We are essentially a job shop. We may never see the same part twice, but we never see a customer only once. The accounts we earn stay with us.

Alliance Innovative achieved ISO9001 and AS9100B certifi cations in 2007, the highest quality and effi ciency certifi cations in the manufacturing industry.

Certifi cation was granted after 10 months, less than half the 18-24 months it normally takes to establish an operational quality management system and achieve both certifi cations simultaneously.

The fast accomplishment was particularly noteworthy considering it occured at the same time as a corporate acquisition, Lean Manufacturing consultation, and relocation to a new facility, all of which kept the company moving at a frenetic pace.

In 2010 Alliance Innovative revised its Quality Management system to be in compliance with AS9100 Revision C. The company received certifi cation to the new AS9100 revision at the close of 2011.
