1 What do you want to control? Welcome to the exciting world of home automation and the SR-250, a remote that controls far more than your TV—everything in your Control4® home automation system. Turn on the lights in your kitchen from the bedroom. Lower the shades with a touch of a button. Make sure the doors are locked. The SR-250 keeps you in control of your Control4 system and your home with one powerful, yet easy-to-use, remote. Getting started The SR-250 provides three different ways to manage your system. The next page shows you how to use these options. Control4® SR-250 Quick Reference Option 2: TV on-screen menu Use your remote’s 4 button to access the Home menu on your TV. Then use the arrow and SELECT buttons to interact with your system. Option 3: WATCH/LISTEN buttons The WATCH and LISTEN buttons are shortcuts to your video and audio components. Control4® SR-250 Quick Reference

Option 2: TV on-screen menu

Use your remote’s 4 button to access the Home menu on your TV. Then use the arrow and SELECT buttons to interact with your system.

Option 3: WATCH/LISTEN buttons

The WATCH and LISTEN buttons are shortcuts to your video and audio components. Press WATCH, for example, and your TV, DVD player, or AppleTV box will appear on the display screen. Use the arrows and SELECT buttons to choose what you want to access.

Using the remoteChange rooms before controlling your devicesIf your remote shows that it’s not in the room you want, change to where the device is located. The current room’s name appears in the display screen.

1 Press the button.

2 Select House > Location > Floor > Room.

1 Change to the desired room using your remote’s display screen.

2 Press the button on your remote. The Home screen appears on your TV.

3 Use the arrows and SELECT buttons to choose an icon:

Option 3: WATCH and LISTEN buttonsUse the WATCH or LISTEN buttons to watch TV, play the radio, and more.

1 Change to the desired room on your remote.

2 Press Watch or Listen on your remote for available devices in the list. Use the arrows and SELECT buttons to control audio or video.

Helpful tips• To turn off what you’re watching or listening to. Press the button.• To choose a language for the remote’s screen

Press LIST, then select Info > Config > Language. Select the language (the default is English).

• To check battery levelPress LIST, then select Info > Config > Battery Level.

• To display remote brightnessPress LIST, then select Info > Config > Display Brightness.

• To display remote keypad brightness Press LIST, then select Info > Config > Keypad Brightness.

• To turn on keypad backlightPress LIST, then select Info > Config > Light Sensor. Select On or Off.

• To wake up the remote or change wakeup settingsPress LIST, then select Info > Config > Motion Detect.

Select Off, High, Medium, or Low.

• To restore the remote’s factory defaultsPress LIST, then select Info > Config > Factory Defaults.

Select Cancel or Off.

• To view the remote’s ,network addressPress LIST, then select Info > Config > About. This displays the unique address for the remote. Your dealer may need this information for servicing.

• Programmable buttons. Have your dealer program the four colored buttons (red, green, yellow, blue) to improve your lifestyle.

• To replace the battery When it’s time to replace the batteries, a message will appear on the display screen. Remove and install two new AA batteries into the back of the SR-250. Insert them according to the diagram in the battery compartment.
