Finishes : 1. Align joints and reveals in both walls and ceilings for tile and accent ceilings, typical. 2. All floor finishes shall comply with all state and local building codes and amendments and Texas Architectural Barriers (ADA) Section 302 for floor or ground surfaces. Signage : 1. Contractor shall supply and install tactile signs complying with ADA/TAS standards for all interior signage for room identification, restrooms, exit passageways, exit discharge and exit stairways, etc. and as required by code, typical. 2. All signage shall be approved by Architect. Doors : 1. Contractor shall verify all door and frame dimensions prior to fabrication and installation, door dimensions are nominal. 2. All thresholds at doors shall be ADA/TAS compliant, typical. 3. Door hardware shall comply with all state and local building codes and amendments and Texas Architectural Barriers (ADA) Section 309 Operable Parts. 4. Door and Gate Opening Force. Fire doors shall have a minimum opening force allowable by the appropriate administrative authority. The force for pushing or pulling open a door or gate other than fire doors shall be as follows: a. Interior hinged doors and gates: 5 pounds (22.2 N) maximum. b. Sliding or folding doors: 5 pounds (22.2 N) maximum. These forces do not apply to the force required to retract latch bolts or disengage other devices that hold the door or gate in a closed position. Blocking : 1. Contractor shall provide solid wood blocking in walls as required for wall mounted items (i.e. toilet accessories), typical. 2. All wood blocking shall be fire treated, typical. Site : 1. Refer to Civil for site details, paving notes, and site dimensions, etc. 2. All walks around building shall slope away from the building at 1/4" per foot max and 1/8" per foot minimum. Refer to Civil. 3. All new concrete walks shall have a thickened edge, typical. Refer to Civil. Glazing : 1. Safety Glazing: Contractor shall be responsible for complying with all glass and glazing requirements for Human Impact Loads in hazardous locations as per State and Local building codes and amendments, typical. Refer to IBC 2015 section 2403 and 2406, typical. GENERAL NOTES HARDWARE SCHEDULE NOTES : 1. All hardware shall be approved by Architect. 2. All hardware shall be Keyed to Owner's Keying System. 3. Finish shall be Brushed Satin Stainless. 4. All hardware shall comply with all applicable code requirments. 5. All hardware shall be ADA/TDLR compliant. KEYING : A. General: Supplier will meet with owner to finalize keying requirements. Key to Masterkey system as directed. Verify prior to ordering/submitting product templates for fabrication. B. Keys: Provide nickel silver keys only. Deliver all keys to Owner's representative. C. Provide construction core keying for this project with keys as required per Owner. D.
