Your project will focus on “How can engineers Improve Human Health and Wellbeing in Ireland by the year 2020”

1E8 - Project Description A broad hint: Look at websites that come up with the terms Human Health, Wellbeing and Ireland ;Try and see who are the key stakeholders in Irish ‘health’ and ‘wellbeing’.

You might like to look up Google and the more adventurous may look Google Scholar; the more inquisitive may look at blog sites

You may explore use of engineering systems in

• hospitals continuing heavy expenditure, • care homes 1 in 5 Irish folk will be over 80

in the next 10-15 years), • reduction of noise, light, chemical or biological pollution• leisure and entertainment facilities

You may explore use of SUSTAINABLE engineering systems in hospitals, care homes, reduction of noise, light, chemical or biological pollution, and/or leisure and entertainment facilities.

Each group is free to chose their own specific topics within the overall scope of the term health and/or wellbeing in the context of Ireland.

Each group must collectively produce a substantial report on some aspect of health and happiness in Ireland.

Each group should elect/select its own co-ordinator and a secretary to keep a record of meetings, work carried out. All members will have their own research tasks

All of us are expected to keep strict records of attendance – the attendance list will be collected at the end of each tutorial period on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
