Ⅰ、 Introduction of IET International Radar Conference

IET International Radar Conference is an international conference of radar

technology and related fields held in China, jointly sponsored by the British

Engineering and Technology Association, Beijing Institute of Technology and

Radar society of Chinese Institute of Electronics. The initial session was successfully

held in Guilin, China during April 20th, 2009 and April 22nd, 2009; and the second

one was in Xi'an, China during April 14th, 2013 and April 16th, 2013. This session

is the third one, which will be held in Hangzhou, China, during October 14th, 2015

and October 16th, 2015.

In this session, Professor William Webb, the Chairman of the British

Engineering and Technology Association and CEO of Weightless SIG Company,

Professor Mao Erke, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and

Professor Long Teng of Beijing Institute of Technology will serve as Honorary

Chairman; Professor Xu Jia of Beijing Institute of Technology will serve as the

President of the Conference; Professor Hugh Griffiths of University College

London, the Chairman of the United States IEEE Aerospace and Electronics

Association and the editor of the British IET Radar Sonar and Navigation Magazine,

Professor TapanK. Sarkar of Syracuse University, the former Chairman of the United

States IEEE Antenna and Propagation Association, Professor Wu Jianqi, Deputy

Director of East China Research Institute of Electronic Engineering,

Professor Xue Anke, the president of Hangzhou University of Electronic Science

and Technology, Professor Meng Gang, the director of the 14th Institute of the

China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology serve as the Vice President of the

Conference; Professor Hu Cheng of Beijing Institute of Technology will serve as TPC

Chair; Professor Peng Dongliang of Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and

Technology and Yang Xiaopeng, associate professor of Beijing Institute of

Technology, will serve as TPC Vice-Chair.

The Conference is designed to provide a platform for experts, scholars and

engineers of radar technology and related fields to make academic exchanges and

seminars, with an introduction of the latest technological advances, academic

research hotspots and application results in the field of radar as well. In this

conference, there will be 10 Invited Keynote Lectures, 9 Invited Special Reports, 8

parallel sessions of reports and discussions, with the topic of radar systems,

advanced RF and antenna technology, radar signal and information processing,

synthetic aperture radar and inverse synthetic aperture radar, target and

environmental characteristics, new radar technology and so on. There will be 400-

500 guests and delegates in total expected to attend this conference.

This session must be a high-level event in the field of radar technology in terms

of the size, participants, the influence, the quality of papers and the conference

organization.
