In spring of 2018, Nick Wilson took it upon himself to find new avenues to support his community that did not require his local’s personal money.
Nick is the President of L2629 of and he had heard of Fill the Boot but it was
many years since they had participated in the program. Nick personally rallied
8 other fire fighters to go out and collect after shift on a very hot July day.
In August, L2629 hosted a local MDA family, the Steele’s, and presented
them a check to MDA for $2,866!
