Common Scan to PC Codes

027-516: Server Connection Error.This code indicates the scan transfer was unable to locate the shared folder on the PC workstation.

This code can be generated by the following:

The network cable is unplugged.

The 'Hostname' or 'IPv4 Address' was entered incorrectly in the address book. Please refer to

the third section of this customer tip.

The Firewall/Antivirus software on the PC workstation is blocking the scans transfer.

The 'File and Print Sharing' has been disabled within Windows 7's 'Control Panel'.

027-513: User account has insufficient permissions.This code indicates that the when attempting to transfer the scan in to the folder on the PC

workstation, the user account had insufficient privileges. This code can be generated by the following:

The 'User Account' was entered incorrectly in the address book. The 'User Account' has no access at all to the folder.

The 'User Account' has no 'Write' access to the folder.

The 'User Account' has 'Write' access only, which is insufficient.

018-543: Error with the folder name.

This code indicates that the folder name was entered incorrectly in the address book or thefolder's settings for sharing are incorrect.

018-505: SMB-DOS protocol error 1-005

The user account's 'Password' was entered incorrectly in the address book.

027-518: Login name or a password error in SMB

There are problems with the SMB scan login name or password. In Scan to SMB, the specifiedpassword was found wrong.

016-782: Scan Server Login ERR

Failed to log into SMB server. Also occurs in SMB when the network cable is disconnected.

016-783: Invalid Server Path Either the specified path does not exist, or no access right.

016-784: Server Write ERR

A failure in writing to the server to transfer a file to it.

016-785: Server HDD Full

When transferring a file to the server, the server file system becomes full.
