Soak inSomeSun andLocalFood
We all know that fossil fuels are in limited supply and thatfinding alternative sources of energy can help ease our reli-ance on oil. The Sun provides plants with the energy theyneed to grow, but did you know just how much energy canbe produced using solar power?
Visit the Solar Showcase zone to learn more about howto harness the same power that provides us with our warm, sunny weather. Get great tips from local vendors includingCapital City Solar, Lyon Real Estate, Renewal by Andersenand Solar City.
But the sun isnt the only other source of energy outthere. Stop by and see Energy 2001, Inc. to find out moreabout how they use methane gas produced at a local landfillto produce enough electricity for nearly 4,000 homes!
After youve soaked in some sun, check out some deli-cious lunch options in our mobile food truck area. Dinefrom Drewskis Hot Rod Kitchen, chow down on Chandos
Tacos, or cool down with a delicious frozen treat fromOMG Yogurt.Learn about the many ways solar energy can be integrated into your household.

Bugging people just got a whole lot cooler, especially when you visit the CleanWatershed Zone. Buzz on over to the City of Rosevilles Storm Water boothsand climb through a life-size bug made out of a classic Volkswagen Beetle.

Speaking of friends, checkout some protected critters at Eco-Safaris rescued wildlife booth, consider adopting apet at the SPCA booth, ride a pony ($5 charge) or watch exciting falconry demonstra-tions.
Hey adults, before your kids bug you to visit the bee colony or pet some delightfulcreatures; be sure to take a moment and meet with some of the local green vendors. These environmental experts are available to teach you about products and servicesdesigned to help protect our planets natural resources, including our local creeks, trails, rivers and urban habitats.
