An Epistle from Paul:Excellence Will Find You Out! – In his book Lyrics, Oscar Hammerstein tells of the time he saw a picture of the top of the head of the Statue of Liberty, taken from a helicopter. He was amazed at the detail and

painstaking work that was done on the lady’s coiffure. Hammerstein reflected that the sculptor could not have imagined, even in his wildest dreams, that one day there would be a device that could look on top of the head of his creation. Yet he gave as much care to that part of the statue as he did to the face, arms and legs. Hammerstein wrote: “When you are creating a work of art, or any other kind of work, finish the job off perfectly. You never know when a helicopter, or some other instrument not at the moment invented, may come along and find you out.”

Let me use this to help illustrate yet another important Biblical principle. Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ Whom you serve.” May there be no doubt in our minds that our Lord is more than aware of what we think and what we do. With this conviction, may we ever be encouraged to live our lives in FULL VIEW OF OUR LORD. May each of us pay particular attention to the detail necessary in making wise and Godly decisions each day. May EXCELLENCE be evident in our grace responsive lives. After all, our Lord is worthy of the very best we can give to Him!!

Our Next Wednesday Luncheon is On!

We will be gathering at the church building April 25th to board to bus. We will be heading to the East side of Columbus (Whitehall), Ohio to eat at the MCL. This is the restaurant that Jim Bell is the manager. We thought it an appropriate and good thing to head over there and give Jim’s store our business and to look forward to fellowship time there and while on the bus. Plan now to join us for this our next gathering of the Wednesday Lunch!

Youth Groups Will Meet Sunday!

This coming Sunday, April 15th the older and younger youth groups will be meeting at the church building at

6:30 PM. The younger youth will be gathering before their lessons to prepare some music to present to the congregation in the near

future… The older youth will be meeting in the kitchen area for their lesson and fellowship time. If rides are needed let us know!!!
