Conveniently located adjacent to the district office and madison No. 1 Middle School, one of the District’s visual and performing arts schools, this new 25,000 square foot facility will help support the District’s focus on developing its young artists. The facility will bring events into the community by providing a rentable venue for outside musicians, theatre and dance companies, etc. These groups will be accommodated with a large sized lobby for pre-function dining with banquet tables seating up to 200 guests, catering kitchen, 900 seat theater, stage with modern rigging, LED lighting, and an AV system to support the various performance types. The site is at the northeast corner of the existing Metro Tech campus. The project features a 42,018 two-story classroom building, parking spaces, and new lighted sports fields and courts for Metro Tech. The small alternative school accommodates approximately 400 students. The core of the program contains instructional space as well as a multi-purpose room, full service kitchen and administrative offices. Building materials feature integral color concrete block on the exterior facade and the interior corridors, metal panel accents, polished concrete floors, and LED lighting. Paradise Valley Unified School District chose ADM Group for their technical capabilities and experience on difficult, occupied campus renovations. This Performing Arts Center now stands out with a modern metal panel façade and back-lit signage. Visitors enter a gallery-like lobby where the students’ art can be showcased. The bright interior is lit by LED’s that save money and create a modern, sleek feel. The stage rigging and lighting are a combination of conventional and modern systems to teach students both traditional theater crafts as well as state-of-the-art trade skills.
