    FRIENDS

  • Introducing Today’s SermonBy Pastor Grace

FriendsOur message today takes us from the very beginning (Genesis) to the very end of Scripture (Revelation). As creation unfolds in the fi rst chapter of Genesis, we read about all that which was "good" (vs.4, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25, 31). But in Chapter Two we read, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet to him." Th ink about it, a near perfect man, placed in a near, if not, perfect environment, by a perfect God, and yet something was not "good" - "that the man should be alone."As we peruse the fi nal words of Scripture in the book of Revelation, we read about "the glory of God" (21:11), "new Jerusalem," (21:2, 10-23), and the "nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it..." (21:24). Th e impression we are given is that there are millions, maybe billions of people who have arrived at the fi nal destination, the New Jerusalem, the glory of God, reigning for ever and ever. It has been quite a journey from the Garden of Eden to the New Jerusalem! It is the Lord’s intent that all journey to our fi nal destination by the Way. Starting alone, with one man, we pick up fellow travelers, others created for the same destiny, others who are on their journey to "Ever-After."God says that God + one man was not good. Man needed not only a vertical relationship with his Creator, but man was designed for horizontal relationships with others. We are individual people who with friends and loved ones, are moving along the Way, helping, encouraging, loving and inspiring one another to Eternity, to reach the Ever-After. God made us, not to be alone, but to be friends, forever.

  • REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR OUR MISSIONARIES

    THIRD SUNDAY MISSIONS OFFERING

REMINDER:Today we will receive a second off ering for our supported missionar-ies. This off ering is an opportunity for those who are not already

giving on a regular basis to make a one-time

gift to help support the missions eff orts around the world that we have

    partnered with.

    Missionary News

JalowiecsOn March 3, our church will be commissioning and sending off our missionaries to Zambia, Dan & Jan Jalowiec. Th ey have been preparing themselves for many years and have done all that we have asked them to do. Th ey have raised their support; they have shipped their belongings and paid for their passage. We as their sending church want to be a blessing and encouragement to them that day. Dan will be preaching, and we will receive a special off ering

to raise the funds necessary to buy them a vehicle when they get to the fi eld. Typically a ten year old vehicle that can service their minimum needs will cost $15,000 to $20,000. Please pray and ask our Lord Jesus Christ what part He would have you to take in the furtherance of His kingdom and the blessing of this missionary family.

Joshua GroupPlease welcome Cubby Chalmers and his ministry, the Joshua Group to our mission-ary family. Th e Joshua Group’s mis-sion is to cre-ate opportu-nities through programs, partner-

ships, outreaches and events that will infl uence, instill and mold character through athletics while promoting, educating and developing leaders who will be faith centered, commu-nity minded and value driven.
