MEN’S WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Where is my John Wayne? Where is my prairie song? Where is my happy ending? Where have all the cowboys gone? Where is my Marlboro Man? Where is his shiny gun? Where is my lonely ranger? Where have all the cowboys gone?

All of these questions were asked by Paula Cole in a 1990s song titled, Where Have all the Cowboys Gone? With the recent passing of the man who portrayed the Marlboro man, it seems that there is no hope for Mrs. Cole. The church in America has found itself asking a similar question:

Where have all the men gone?

The Biblical Man is a 12 week Bible study designed to awaken the awareness of biblical manhood. This study will provide a portrait of the

man God created. The study specifically focuses on the three main areas of every man's life: personal, work and family. This study will answer questions such as, how do I balance work and family, how do I get

along with my boss, how do I get along with my wife, and how do I do all of these things and honor God at the same time?

Join this Men’s Study, being taught by Shane Lambert, on Wednesday nights from 6:45-7:45 p.m. in the board room

now through April 30. There is no charge for the class. Please bring your Bible, pen and note paper.

Missions FAITHMissions FAITH--PROMISE GivingPROMISE Giving Our 2014 Missions Festival provides us with the opportunity to renew our Faith Promise commitments to missions, or to begin a pattern of regular giving toward missions work through Parkside Bible Church. Why do we utilize this model of giving? We believe it is God’s way!

The Faith-Promise plan of missionary support giving works beyond expectations because it is based on the principles of God’s Word. Some of the principles are:

FAITH You purpose in your heart to give because you have first surren-

dered yourself to Christ. You promise to give an amount to the Lord’s work through missions, above and beyond your regular church giving, because you believe the amount would be a God-honoring proportion of your income. Then you are encouraged to trust God to meet this promise.

REGULARITY

A Faith-Promise involves a regular giving pattern weekly or monthly to the Lord’s work in a proportionate manner.

SPIRITUALITY

The amount you promise is a transaction between you and God. No one will ask you for it. This plan leads you to not only face your responsibility before the Lord, but it enables you to enter into the great blessings of His promises. “Whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

Commitment

This plan permits our missionaries to know that you are committed to support a portion of His work. As we give we are reminded to pray, for “where a person’s treasure is, there will his heart be also.”

Because “God so loved...that He gave...” Will you give your life and love to Him? Then help our effort to reach “Every Neighbor, Every Nation” and step into a new vital experience of Missions “Faith-Promise” giving that will enhance your life now and will bring honor and glory to our blessed Lord for time and for eternity.

May God bless you in your Missions “Faith-Promise” commitment! February 23February 23--March 2March 2
