The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh is inviting freelancers, designers, artists, design/ art

students and interested public to create logo for Amaravati, the new Greenfield

capital of Andhra Pradesh.

The logo for the new Capital city should capture the following elements of the city,

1. Heritage of Amaravati

a. Capital of 5 ancient & medieval Kingdoms including the Satyavahanas

b. Part of the Indian Buddhist circuit

c. Various temples and caves

2. Krishna River & Multiple water bodies

a. Envisaged as a Blue city

- 30 km perennial river front

- Multiple lakes/ ponds

- Greenfield canals within city for navigation

3. Rising Sun

a. The sunrise state of Andhra Pradesh with new opportunities looming

from its strategic location and vast coastline

4. People’s Capital

a. The new Capital is key for the people of Andhra Pradesh, as the

erstwhile capital has been retained by the newly formed state of

Telangana.

5. World Class & Livable Capital

a. Vision is to make it one of the best cities in the world in terms of

providing quality of living – Blue-green city (significant water front/

water bodies and green cover), parks, open spaces, multi-model means

of transportation, affordable housing, minimum

b. Smart city with best in class infrastructure and transportation facilities

The logo should be simple, elegant and adequately represent the themes listed above

Logo should reach the Commissioner, APCRDA office on or before 15th October 2015.

The participants can upload the logo through the website www.crda.ap.gov.in. A

committee will be formed to evaluate the submitted Logos.

The best three entries will be awarded cash prize as given below,

1st Prize : Rs. 1,00,000/-

2nd Prize : Rs.50,000/-

3rd Prize : Rs.25,000/-
