A. Store documents and samples in Contractor's field office apart from documentsused for construction. Do not use record documents for construction purposes;protect from deterioration and loss in a secure fire-resistive location; provideaccess to record documents for Saudi Aramco inspection during normal workinghours.

1. Provide files and racks for storage of documents.

2. Provide locked cabinet or secure storage space for storage of samples.

B. File documents and samples in accordance with Saudi Aramco instructions.

C. Maintain documents in a clean, dry, legible condition, and in good order for turnover to Saudi Aramco in accordance with Section 01700 "Close-OutRequirement".

1.03 Identification and Recording

A. Label each document and sample "PROJECT RECORD BOOK" in neat largeprinted letters. As-built drawings shall be stamped as required in 1.4, B. below.

B. Record information concurrently with construction progress.

C. Do not conceal any work until required information is recorded.

1.04 Record Documents

A. Record Drawings: Maintain a white-print set (blue-line or black-line) of Contractdrawings and accepted shop drawings in clean, undamaged condition, with mark-up of actual installations which vary from the work as originally shown. Mark each

drawing showing the as-built condition fully and accurately according to draftingmanual. Mark-up new information which is recognized to be of importance, butas for some reason not shown on either the Contract Drawings or shop drawings.Give particular attention to concealed work which would be difficult to measureand record at a later date. Note related change order numbers where applicable.

B. Construction Progress Schedules:

1. Submit initial progress schedule in duplicate within 20 days after dateestablished in Notice to Proceed for review by Saudi AramcoRepresentative.

2. Submit a computer generated chart with separate line for each majorsection of Work or operation, identifying first work day of each week.

3. Submit computer generated network analysis diagram using the criticalpath method (CPM), generally as outlined in Associated GeneralContractors of America (AGC) publication "The Use of CPM in

The Contractor shall submit the CPM and the computer generated chart14 days counted from day of site handing over.

4. Show complete sequence of construction by activity, identifying Work ofseparate stages and other logically grouped activities. Indicate the earlyand late start, early and late finish, float dates, and duration. Theprogress schedule shall be updated monthly.

5. Indicate estimated percentage of completion for each item of Work ateach submission.

6. Indicate submittal dates required for shop drawings, product data,samples, and product delivery dates.

7. Update of schedule will be as required by Saudi Aramco (minimum once a

month).

C. As-built Drawings:

1. The Contractor shall prepare as-built drawings for delivery to SaudiAramco.

2. The Contractor shall use the original Contract Drawings which have been"Issued for Construction" and original mylar shop drawings which havebeen "Released for Construction," as the basis for the development of the

as-built drawings. The Contractor shall replace the furnished ContractDrawings with updated electronic files.

3. The as-built drawings shall contain all information reflecting theconstructed condition of the facility as recorded on the Record Drawingincluding equipment and/or fixtures installed by the Contractor.

4. The as-built drawings shall be stamped "AS-BUILT". The letter size shallbe 25 mm x 15 mm (height x width).

5. The as-built drawings shall be submitted in accordance with the "ShopDrawing" procedure of Section 01340. After acceptance the Contractor

shall deliver the following:

a. One complete set of accepted original as-built drawings.

b. One complete set of blueline or blackline prints of the approvedas-built drawings.

c. One set of the drawing index of the complete set of as-builtdrawings.

d. All CADD (Computer Aided Design) generated drawings on CDROM.

e. All electronic files shall be as builted by the Contractor.

6. Prior to issuance of Initial Acceptance of the work a number of drawingsmay be selected by Saudi Aramco for processing as noted above and theContractor shall be required to meet these requirements forreproducibility. This testing will be for the purpose of demonstrating thework meets minimum standards. Upon successful demonstration ofreproducibility Saudi Aramco will proceed to microfilm the full set ofdrawings, and a set of prints will be prepared from the microfilmedblowback. Any drawings which do not meet the clarity and legibilityrequirements will be redone by the Contractor at no added cost to SaudiAramco.

D. Record Specifications: During the progress of the Work maintain one copy of thespecifications, including addenda, change orders and similar modifications issuedin printed form during construction and mark-up variations in the actual workcomparison with the text of specifications and modifications, selection of options,and similar information on work where it is concealed or cannot otherwise bereadily discerned at a later date by direct observation. Note related recorddrawing information and product data where applicable.

E. Record shop Drawing Information: During the progress of the Work maintain theoriginal of each accepted shop drawing information submittal, other than shopdrawings, as defined in Section 01340. Mark-up variations in the actual work in

comparison with the submitted information. Include both variations from themanufacturer's instructions and recommendations for installation. Give particularattention to concealed products and portions of the work which cannot otherwisebe readily discerned at a later date by direct observation. Note related changeorders and mark-up of record drawings and specifications.

F. Record Miscellaneous Submittals: During the progress of the Work maintain therecord miscellaneous submittals as required by 1.2.

G. Record samples: During the progress of the work maintain the record samples asrequired by 1.2.
