Boys Basketball Updates (6/18/18)

Update: Dennis took an unofficial visit to Cleveland State University (D1), who had already offered him a scholarship, this past week. He also attended the Loyola University - IL (D1) team camp with his Oswego East team, and will visit Ball State University (D1) (who has also offered) this upcoming week.

Update: The long and athletic Engels was outstanding at this past weekend's Loyola Academy shootout, where he led Benet to a tournament championship. He has attracted the attention of several scholarship-level schools, as well as D3 powerhouse Augustana College.

2019 6'4 G Michael Cruger (Aurora Christian HS, IL)

Update: Cruger has attracted recent interest from Olivet Nazarene (NAIA) and Concordia University - IL (D3) with his strong play on the high school summer circuit.

Update: Gates, who played well at Hoop Mountain this past weekend, has attracted the attention of Monmouth College (D3), Loras College (D3) and Illinois Wesleyan University (D3), among others in recent days.

Update: Mascari was one of three Dark Horse basketball players who were offered scholarships by the coaching staff at St. Cloud State University (D2) after attending their camp this past Friday. The offer was Mascari's second, joining an earlier offer from Quincy University (D2).

2020 6'8 F Sam Schultz (Oswego East HS, IL)

Update: After dominating the St. Cloud State University (D2) elite camp this past Friday, the smart and crafty McDonald received his first scholarship offer from the coaching staff. He will visit the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh (D3 this month.

2019 6'5 G William Engels (Benet Academy, IL)

Update: As soon as division one programs were able to contact 2020s this past week, they came out in full force for the high-academic Rolfs, who heard from Stanford University (D1), the University of Pennsylvania (D1), Princeton University (D1), and Northern Illinois University (D1) on Friday.

2019 6'2 PG RayJ Dennis (Oswego East HS, IL)

Update: Schultz heard from Western Illinois (D1), Miami of Ohio (D1), Holy Cross (D1), Green Bay (D1), and Northern Illinois (D1) when the 2020 contact period began this past Friday.

2020 6'8 Wing Aidan Rolfs (Redmond HS, WA)

Update: Along with Mascari and McDonald, Shore received a scholarship offer (his first) from St. Cloud State University (D2) following his dynamic performance at their elite camp Friday. Shore then attended an elite camp at Eastern Illinois University (D1) on Sunday.

2019 6'4 Wing Austin Gates (Bartlett HS, IL)

Update: The uber-athletic Sisson has caught the eye of the coaching staff at North Central College (D3), who reached out about him this past week.

Update: The quick and athletic Wilkins heard from Illinois College (D3) this past week after helping his West Chicago team to the elite eight of this year's Hoop Mountain tournament.

Update: When NCAA division one programs were able to contact 2020s this past Friday, Webb heard quickly from the College of the Holy Cross (D1).

Commitments

Commitment: Purdue University (D1) - Preferred Walk-on

Story: Over the course of the last year, King has been one of the most coveted small college bigs in the state of Illinois. Rather than playing at that level, he ultimately chose to accept a preferred walk-on position at Purdue University (D1).

2019 DE Cole Campbell (Geneva HS, IL)

Update: Campbell received his first scholarship offer from McKendree University and is on his way to both the South Dakota and South Dakota State camps.

2019 CB Justin Agema (Naperville Central HS, IL)

Update: Agema had a good performance at the Northern Illinois University camp. He will attend the upcoming Dayton and Miami of Ohio camps this month.

2020 QB Kyle Greenwood (Saline HS, MI)

Update: Greenwood is continuing his busy summer as he will attend the Miami of Ohio camp next week.

2020 OL/DL Michael Gajewski (Toms River North HS, NJ)

Update: Gajewski also performed well at the Monmouth University camp. He will look to do the same at the Wagner University camp.

2019 WR Brandt Stare (Neuqua Valley HS, IL)

Update: St. Clair will attend camps at McKendree University and UW-Lacrosse in the next few weeks.

2019 WR Harper Cole (Waubonsie Valley HS, IL)

Update: Cole will attend the Western Illinois camp as well as the Central Michigan camp this month.

2020 QB Toby Kunkel (Oak Park-River Forest HS, IL)

Update: Dartmouth, Yale, and Princeton have all expressed interest in Kunkel in recent days. Furthermore, Kunkel will visit Benedictine University soon.

2020 FB/LB Frank Davis Jr (Toms River North HS, NJ) Update: With a great showing at the Monmouth University camp, Davis’ next stop is the Wagner University camp.

2019 WR/TE Will Sessa (Hinsdale Central HS, IL)

Update: Sessa is back from the Duke camp and will continue his busy summer as many schools are interested in the high-academic 6’6 Sessa.

Update: Stare had a huge week as he was awarded co-MVP of the IMG national championship. College interest continues to build for Stare.

Update: The tough, hard-nosed, high-academic Lexi Moriarty attended the Lewis University (D2) elite camp this past Saturday and played in the Loyola University - IL (D1) team camp with her Benet Academy team.

Girls Basketball 2020 6' F Lindsay Blackmore

(Geneva HS, IL) Update: Blackmore attended the Lewis University (D2) elite camp last weekend and received her first offer from the staff on Monday. Grand Valley State University (D2) has expressed new interest in the two-time state champ.

2019 5'9 G Abby Callahan (Marist HS, IL)

2020 5'7 G Erin Golden (Batavia HS, IL)

Update: Golden, who posted some of the best offensive statistics of any player in Illinois this past high school season, was in contact with Lipscomb University (D1) for the first time this week.

2020 5'4 PG Olivia Demosthenes (Normal West HS, IL)

Update: The strong, physical Demosthenes received a phone call from Drury University (D2) as soon as they were legally able to call her Friday. She also attended the University of Iowa (D1) elite camp.

2019 5'8 G Kelsey Kelley (Stagg HS, IL)

Update: Kelley had a busy weekend of elite camps, attending camps at Truman State University (D2) and Lewis University (D2) on consecutive days. North Park University (D3) and Aurora University (D3) have been in contact regularly for the last several weeks.

2021 6' G Kendall Moriarty (Benet Academy, IL)

Update: Knight attended the Lewis University (D2) elite camp this weekend.

2020 5'10 Wing Lexi Moriarty (Benet Academy, IL)

Update: Moriarty burst onto the recruiting scene last week with a strong performance at the Illinois State University (D1) elite camp, and she only continued to build on her momentum with her play at the Marquette University (D1) elite camp, which earned her a scholarship offer from Marquette, this past Sunday.

2020 6’1 Wing Kate Bullman (Grayslake Central HS, IL)

Update: Winona State University (D2) is the latest school to reach out to Callahan, who also attracted the interest of Illinois State University (D1) while competing in their elite camp last week.

Update: After performing well at Illinois State University (D1) last week, Bullman camped at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay (D1) and Drake University (D1) this week. She will head to Western Michigan University (D1) next week for a camp. James Madison (D1) is also high on Bullman after watching her this spring.

2019 5'8 PG Clara Prasse (Benet Academy, IL)

Update: the high-academic Prasse's newest suitor is Winona State University (D2), who is extremely high on the lead guard. Gannon University (D2) is also extremely interested. Prasse is primed for an enormous breakout July.

2021 5’6 G Emma Raupp (Schaumburg HS, IL)

Update: Raupp, who is also a force on the Lacrosse field, will be attending elite camps at Northern Illinois University (D1) and Valparaiso University (D1).
