The connections are welded to the pipe with edge welding. This

coupling type is used in applications where there must not be losses in

the atmosphere or dismounting is not frequent.

Different schedule can be supplied upon request.

• BW (Butt weld):

In threaded parallel joints (BSPP), sealing is performed by a PTFE seal

placed on the bottom of the coupling or by an OR positioned out of the

thread.

In the cone-shaped threaded joints (for example NPT/BSPT), the seal is

on the thread and is improved by applying glue or Teflon strip.

TECHNICAL DATA

The following is the table that lists the compatibility of materials with

different fluids.

The table is based on LUME practice and applications with our valves in

accordance with the value set by the ASME/ASTM/ANSI/API standards.

These indications are given by technical publications and can be considered

as a guide for selecting the materials but these indications do not

guarantee the correct application of our products or their suitability to

particular uses.

The client is responsible for the choice of a material suitable to the

application.

LUME needle valves can be made with different types of connections,

which can even be combined to one another.

The following couplings are available and come in either male or female

connections:

• NPT: ASME B1.20.1;

• BSPT: BS21 – ISO 7/1 Rc

• Origin material certificates, EN10204 3.1/3.2

• NACE MR 01.75/01.03

• Lox Cleaning

The standard certification package includes:

• EN10204 3.1 Pressure Test Certificate

• EN10204 3.1 Material Certificate;
