02 0301Lord, we ask that You bring

resolution to the conflict Chibi people are experiencing, and use this season of upheaval to incline

their hearts toward ultimate peace found in Jesus Christ.

God, please provide additional qualified individuals to join the team as translators. Enable the Chibi team to overcome obstacles and continue

making good progress.

Father, we pray that Chibi speakers will have “ears to hear” (Luke 14:35),

so that the Gospel being spread through evangelistic outreach will

fall on fertile soil and result in genuine faith.

‘God speaks Chibi?’The Lord has continued opening doors for the Chibi translators to connect with influential Chibi leaders. Recently they met with Mr. Zanata who’s well-connected on the political scene. While reading the Book of Ruth in his language, he was speechless with awe. Then after watching the “JESUS” film, he declared, “This is the best thing the Chibi people have ever received!”

The translators are continuously amazed by the powerful impact translated materials have on their people. While on a mission trip in February, they received many positive responses. Their favorite was when people exclaimed, “Wow, you mean God actually speaks our language?” These moments caused the team to break out in praise, saying, “Glory to God!”

Fueling Future Dreams While it’s an abiding passion of each team member to see Chibi speakers’ lives transformed by the Gospel, they’re finding that they are the ones changing most through involvement in this project. As they study God’s Word in order to translate Bible books and craft oral stories, their spiritual appetites are being satisfied like never before. Even their friends and families are growing by association. This fills them with hope as they envision the power of Scripture feeding and growing bodies of believers that will one day form Chibi churches.

Highlights

Recent clashes with a neighboring group is causing Chibi people to flee in fear, delaying some translation steps and causing the team concern.

As the translators feel spiritually fed through studying God’s Word, they look forward to the day when their people experience the same satisfaction.

Chibi speakers will soon have access to a solid foundation of biblical truth as Luke’s Gospel and 40 oral Bible stories near publication.
