    Insulatedpolycarbonate IP65enclosures

A new frame size allowsmounting direct-on-linestarters and changeovercontactor assemblies up to38A.Available in two versions, witha deep cover (M25) or ashallow one (M24), fordifferent configurations ofelectromechanical orelectronic devices which canbe fixed to the standardsupplied metal plate.

ADXC soft startersADXC soft starters have a45mm wide casing. They canbe installed either on 35mmDIN rail or fixed on amounting plate, by scews, aresuitable for soft start andstop, by current limitation, ofthree-phase asynchronousmotors rated up to 45A.Alarms are available, acrossthe range, for overcurrent, over temperature and overvoltage conditions. The 600Vversion is also equipped withtwo relay outputs for remotesignalling of alarms andbypass relay closing.

    Spring-clampterminal contact andLED elements

LOVATO Electric addnew spring-clampterminal types to theexisting screw andfaston terminalcontact and LED

elements, all to be mountedon the LPXAU120 adapter. This type of push-inconnecting technology is timesaving during wiring since itis a tool-less operation.

    Auto-monitor contactelements

These particular NCcontacts, used withnon-illuminated latchemergency stoppushbuttons, providefor constant monitoring

of exact mounting andoperation of the NC contacts.Once the contacts areinstalled on the mountingadapter in a correct way andwith a correct running of theequipment, they work asnormal NC contacts.Their trait is to break tonormally-open state and, inso doing, isolate the circuitwhen malfunctions takeplace, for instance after thecontact detaches from theadapter or if these two comeloose from the pushbuttonitself, due to strong vibrationsor shock of some sort.

Control stations andbase-mount contactand LED elements

LOVATO Electricrelease the newinsulatedpolycarbonate LPZcontrol stationsfeaturing modern

design and aesthetics in linewithpushbuttons and selectorswitches. The types include emptystations, with 1 to 6 holes, having excellent protectiondegrees per IEC IP66, 67,69K and UL Type 4/4X. Theextreme sturdiness allowsuse in every type ofapplication. To ease wiringinside the new LPZpushbutton stations, dedicated contact and LEDelements have been made todirectly fit onto the controlstation base. This sort ofinstallation provides for allwiring to be entirely withinthe base. As a result, coveropening and fixing are safe, quick and simple operations.

  • IP65 enclosed switchdisconnectors

LOVATO Electric havecompleted the line ofenclosed switchdisconnectors by introducinga new enclosure frame size inbetween the two availableGAZ1 and GAZ3 types. Thenew GAZ2 version is availableempty or already completewith either a three or four-pole switch disconnector, rated 63A, 80A or 100A inIEC AC21A duty. The IP65protection degree allowsthem to be installed in severeambient conditions. This product range has beenextended to include newchangeover switches, in boththree and four-pole versions, rated 25A to 125A in IECAC21A duty, housed ininsulated enclosures.

ULcertifications, as Listed orRecognized (cULus or cURus)for USA and Canadadepending on type, have nowbeen obtained for all10x38mm fuse holders, bothAC and photovoltaic DCversions.

    Miniature andresidual circuitbreakers

LOVATO Electric include in itsproduct offering new modulardevices dedicated to protectpeople and installations. Theyare miniature circuit breakers(MCBs) up to 125A andresidual current circuitbreakers (both RCBOs andRCCBs). The MCBs have a highbreaking capacity of 10kAand most are certified by ULfor USA and Canada assupplementary protectors perUL 1077.

    Surge protectiondevices

LOVATO Electric release twonew types of surge protectiondevices for photovoltaicapplications, compliant withthe new EN 50539-11standard. The new products, availablewith removable plug-incartridges, are used ininstallations with voltage upto 1200VDC. By using theircontact remote feature, indication of the device statuscan be remoted so as tosignal when replacement isneeded. The new SPDs havehigh Iscpv short-circuitcurrent rating up to 1000A.This current value is veryimportant because itindicates the maximumcurrent which their thermaldisconnector is capable ofisolating.

    Interface protectionPMVF 51

The PMVF 51 interfaceprotection gives all thefunctions and controlsrequired by the Italian CEI 0-21 standard (June 2012edition and subsequentrevisions) regarding low-voltage connection of micro-generation systems, such assolar or wind installations, between the energygeneration system and thenational power grid. Inaddition to compulsoryvoltage and frequencycontrols, when currenttransformers are connectedwith the PMVF51 interfaceprotection, it can also put atdisposal current and energymeasurements as well asunbalanced power controlwith the optional dedicatedexpansion module installed.

New design for the direct operating and door-couplinghandles introduced for GE switch disconnectors - 160 to 1600A ratings.OFF and ON positions are clearly and preciselyidentifiable.

LOW ACTUATOR PROFILEThe external actuator bezel has a low profileand reduced front thickness.

CUSTOMISING CAPABILITY To simplify stock management, the new series allows

quick replacement of the actuator cap or lens of springreturn types since these are also sold as accessories.

    QUICK AND EASY ACTUATORINSTALLATION

    - Actuator fixing on the mountingsurface, through a 22mm/0.87indrilled hole, is obtained using itsthreaded ring, easily rotated byhand or by socket spanner/wrench.

    - There is an anti-rotation fastener, duly sized to avoid actuator rotationon the mounting surface and to givean orientation reference point forusers during panel installation andduring contact fitting on theactuator.

    - This anti-rotation fastener collapsesinside the gasket to allow fitting alsowhen drilled holes are round withoutreference index.

    - The sealing gasket for the actuatormounting surface has a grippingaction (suction effect) offering asurface prefixing property.

    REDUCED DIMENSIONS ANDINTERAXIS

    - The new series provides a minimum30x40mm (1.18x1.57in) pitchbetween two actuators on amounting surface.

    - Minimum pitch between drilled holesfor double and triple touch actuatorsis 30x55mm (1.18x1.97in).

    - Total depth, from the externalmounting surface to the end of the first contact element is merely43mm (1.69in).

    CONTACT ELEMENTS

    - Miniaturised size - High electric conductivity - 5V 1mA- Up to 9 contact elements can be

installed, 3 rows of 3 elements- Screw or faston termination - Contact operation: double breaking

action, direct opening operation andself cleaning.

    HIGH-LUMINOSITY LEDINTEGRATED LAMP HOLDERS

    - Miniaturised size - Long electrical life: 100,000h- Over-voltage protection - Withstand to vibrations - Protection against stray currents in

SPD COORDINATIONIn order to obtain an effective protection against overvoltage, it is advisable to install several SPDs coordinated with one another in cascade connection. For instance, it is advisable to have a Type 1 SPD in the main distribution board,a Type 2 SPD in the sub-distribution board and a Type 3 SPD near the terminalequipment to be protected. In this way, the energy originating from an overvoltage gradually decreases as itreaches the equipment to protect.

DEFINITIONS AND RATINGSMaximum continuous voltage Uc: Maximum value of AC or DC voltage that the SPD is capable of permanentlywithstanding without activating or getting damaged; this is its rated voltage.

Protection level voltage Up: Maximum value of the voltage between the terminals of the SPD in presence ofan impulsive overvoltage. It is a fundamental parameter to correctly choose theSPD; it must be taken into account with regards to the impulse voltage of theequipment to protect.

Impulse current Imp:Crest value of the current that circulates in the SPD with a 10/350s waveform(activation must be guaranteed for 20 times without damage). It is used to classifySPDs in test class I.

Rated discharge current In:Crest value of the current that circulates in the SPD with an (/20s waveform(activation must be guaranteed for 20 times without damage). It is used to classifySPDs in test class II.

Open circuit discharge voltage Uoc:Crest value of the no-load discharge
