The Amadea bag is made in the technique tapestry crochet.What's specific to this technique is:1. You work in continuous rounds.2. You carry the yarn that you don't use with you (hold the yarn that you carry behind the stitches)

3. You always work your stitches in the back loop and around the yarn that you are carrying.

4. You read the diagram from left to right, and bottom to top (if you're left handed you read it from right to left and bottom to top).

Even though you only use the gray yarn on the bottom part of the bag, you continue to carry it with you and work it into the stitches all the way to the top. If you don't do this, your tension will change and the finished product will not be neat.

You have to use smaller hook than is recommended for the yarn to avoid seeing the yarn that you're carry. For this pattern, we use a 4.5 mm hook even if the recommended hook size for the yarn is 6 mm. Keep your tension quite loose to make the bottom lay flat.

You do the color change in the last pull through of the stitch before the first stitch of the new color.

Place a marker in the last stitch of the round to keep track of where the rounds begin and end.

The diagram is showing two pattern repeats.

Let the color 2 yarn run loose next to the ch in round 38 and work it in to the sts in round 39. So there are 2 stands of yarn that you work away on round 39.
