The bumper bundle certainly boosted considerably the number of entries in that age group! The three judges are now considering the poems. As you know, the awards evening is to be at the library on Thursday 6 April. It was a Mad Scientist Day in Y2 this week and as you can see, the children enjoyed dressing up and investigating. Thank you our Field Top Road Easter Disco Next week sees the second Field Top Road Disco. We hope as many children as possible will attend. The fun starts at 3pm and children need collecting at 4.30pm please. The cost of the fun is £2.50. Hot dogs, drinks and a small egg Fire Prevention talk We take our safety responsibilities seriously at LPS. Next week the Fire brigade will be working with Year 5

LPS have been thanked for encouraging Longroyde pupils to submit poems for the current Friends of Rastrick Library competition. The bumper bundle certainly boosted considerably the number of entries in that age group! The three judges are now considering the poems. As you know, the awards evening is to be at the library on Thursday 6 April. I hope we shall have some news for you in the next couple of weeks.

Jumping Clay has proved so popular that Mrs Clarke has organised a one-off Easter special on 14th April at Longroyde Road. Anyone from Field Top Road is very welcome to attend. The cost will be £5 and there are 30 places.

There are a number of clubs starting after Easter at Longroyde Road. Dance is continuing as is Cheerleading. Jumping Clay moves to the juniors and football continues too. Mrs Clarke does a great job organising all these clubs and making sure that all the children who attend are signed in and out. Thank you Mrs Clarke!

St Matthew’s Concert Thank you in advance to all the children and staff taking part in tonight’s concert. Tickets are available on the door priced at £4. We are looking forward to a really good night.

Miss Moreton sent me this photo of the latest arrivals at our school. We all hope they settle in really well and make friends with the hedgehog who also seems to have adopted us here @LPS.
