WIX is a very well known web builder, it is very helpful in the building stage. There are support buttons and tutorials everywhere, which are easy to understand and use. On the other hand there are several problems with this website. It doesn’t work on the Macs at college, it also does not let you change templates once you have started your website and finally unless you pay for the upgrade you have to put up with the WIX advertisement everywhere.

Square space is a well known for it’s visual outcomes and how they can create a video for you header picture. The software on Square space work extremely quickly and responsively, the web builder also creates versions of your website for phone and tablets. The problems with Square space is that it separates the live preview and editing screens making it awkward to switch pages and see

what your website actually looks like. It has also been known to slow down when you use the drag and drop tool.

Weebly is a web builder which offers a lot of advantages, you can add animations which I haven’t been able to find any other web builder offer. It also automatically makes a good phone and tablet version, it also has vector icon images. Unfortunately there are some down sides to this web builder: The software has some trouble downloading in college, it is expensive, you have to pay to have a search engine and the blog tool isn’t as good as wordpress.

Wordpress is a web builder, which also creates brilliant blogs. It is mobile friendly, which is offered by a lot of web building companies. The construction is very simple and quick which could be helpful if I have a deadline. Unfortunately updates and damage plug ins and it is sometimes known to be slow which will probably drive me mad.

I have chosen to use Wordpress for building my websites, I have used wordpress before to create my blog and it will be easier to link the two together. Also my blog will probably not be able to be linked to a weebly website which would be a problem. I also know the software in wordpress, so I will be able to complete my website quicker without having to learn an entire new website builder.
