INTRODUCTION

Each year, training programs for technical upgrade and professional development are planned for career and technical instructors. These programs are vital to assist instructors in the area technology centers, high school career and technical programs, community and technical colleges, and associate degree university programs in acquiring and updating technical skills for program specific areas. Instructors should plan to participate in training in their specific teaching area as their first priority.

Workshops listed in the catalog are a result of surveys conducted by the Office of Career and Technical Education and the Department of Education, Division of Secondary Career and Technical Education. Training session costs will be paid for by funds allocated specifically for technical upgrade training. Travel, lodging expenses, and meal cost reimbursements are at the discretion of each individual’s school administrator, principal, supervisor, etc. Participants are responsible for obtaining lodging arrangements.

We reserve the right to cancel any program due to low enrollment. If you find that you cannot attend a session for which you registered, you must let me know at least two weeks in advance.

As we continuously strive to improve the quality of our programs and services, I urge you to take advantage of the training opportunities that have been arranged specifically for you. If you have concerns or comments regarding the training or have suggestions, please let me know.
