February 8, 2013Academic CornerDuke TIP students are taking their national ACT test tomorrow. Report to the testing site at 7:30AM along with your admission ticket, ACT Talent Search Student Identification Letter, 2 #2 pencils and a calculator.

9th grade students are reading Romeo and Juliet.  All students have their own copy checked out from the library.  Students will have daily assignments to read acts and scenes for the next day. Quarter 3 novel and packet with project are due Friday, March 22. 

11th Grade students will have mandatory ACT preparation Saturdays as follows: February 16 from 8AM – 12PM; March 2 from 10AM – 12PM; March 23 from 11AM – 12:30PM; and April 6 from 11-12:30PM --- THE ACT EXAM IS ON APRIL 13 If you missed the parent session, please call Mrs. Soto or Mr. Errisuriz to schedule an appointment.____________________________________________________________________________________OPERATIONS CORNERPlease encourage friends/family to attend an information session in our library from 5:30 – 6:30 PM on:February 12, 26, 28 or March 5, 19, 21, 26

All seniors and their parents are required to attend.  Please bring the student's social security number and driver's license number, parent's 2012 Federal Income Tax return, student's W-2 forms or other records of money earned, parent's 2012 records of untaxed income, current bank statements, current business and investment mortgage information, business and farm records, stock, bond and other investment records and your alien registration or permanent resident card (if applicable).

February 8, 2013____________________________________________________________________________________STUDENT SPOTLIGHT12 th Grade – Jesse Robles Watching Jesse Robles come into his own this year has been a true joy for his teachers. He is committed, focused, organized, respectful, compliant, responsible, and aware that his decisions determine his destiny. He has awakened to the realization that, in order to make something of himself, he has to be the captain of his ship. Jesse has an uncanny knack for problem solving and is never reluctant to ask questions pertinent to his continued growth and development. For these reasons, Jesse Robles is our 12th grade Dragon in the Spotlight.
