I am Hon Shan Cheng from Hong Kong SAR, China. I am a student of Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS). JCSRS is a special international school in Homantin, Hong Kong. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

I sketched my painting with a pencil, and then colored it with markers of different colors. My painting was inspired by the pictures I saw on the internet of sea creatures covered in black dirt. I learnt that many of them died because of oil spills. I felt very sad after reading about it. The oil spills looked very beautiful like rainbows, but they could kill all the animals living in the sea, because they cannot breathe. Therefore I drew a picture of the fish, which is separated by a polluted and a clean blue ocean. The picture illustrated half of the fish in the colorful oil-spilled seawater, another half in the clean and clear blue ocean. However, the fish that touches the polluted water is in black and white to highlight the impact oil-spill has on sea creatures, while the fish in the blue ocean looks beautiful filled with different colors. I wish to raise people’s awareness towards the protection of our ocean and environment. I want to protect the ocean and sea animals, and stop people from spilling oil into the sea. About the Artist

I am Hon Shan Cheng. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I’m 18 years old. I’m studying in JCSRS. I’m good at English, Math, Science, drawing, cooking, literacy and PE. I want to work in a computer company because I’m very good at using computer. I’m able to tell you what day a certain date of a year was or will be on. I enjoyed going to local school with all primary and secondary students for a high level of integration. I like going to parties like Christmas and Easter parties. I would like to go on the Asdan Program to know more about myself, and develop my creativity and skills in business enterprises in JCSRS. I like to draw portraits about Hong Kong, like highways, railways and the MTR. My art pieces were displayed in the KGV art exhibition. I usually sketch my paintings with pencils and colored with markers of rainbow colors. I like to use different colors. I want to draw for Family Guy. I hope you will like my paintings!
