Photography Word Definitions Angle – the Point of view of a camera angle. Different camera angles may give of a certain atmosphere or emotion. Photography Word Definitions

Angle – the Point of view of a camera angle. Different camera angles may give of a certain atmosphere or emotion. The camera angle marks the specific location at which the movie camera or video camera is placed to take a shot.

Aperture - A device that controls the amount of light admitted through an opening in photography and digital photography, aperture is the unit of measurement that defines the size of the opening in the lens that can be adjusted to control the amount of light reaching the film or digital sensor.

Camera - a device for recording visual images in the form of photography, film or video signals.

Color – The Property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way it reflects or emits light.

Darkroom- A room that can be completely dark to allow the processing of light sensitive photographic materials. This includes photographic film and photographic paper.

Detail – a detail is defined as an individual fact or feature, or is a small or minor parts of something.

Develop – a photographic process is the chemical means by which photographic film and paper is treated after photographic exposure to produce a negative or positive Image. The photographic processing transforms the latent image into in to a visible image, makes this permanent and renders it insensitive to light.

Exposure – exposure is the amount of light per unit area reaching a photographic film or electronic image sensor, as determined by shutter speed, lens aperture and scene luminance.
