Words from Apostle A. Simmons

As we consecrate ourselves these next 12 days, we must always be mindful of the Word of God which says in Matthew 17:21, “Howbeit this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.”

To consecrate means to “make sacred” or “to dedicate to a particular purpose.” This is accomplished by prayer and fasting. It goes hand-in-hand to accomplish our spiritual goals.

Prayer simply put is, talking to God. Theologically, a child’s petition to all wise, all loving, father God. Jesus said in Luke 18:1, “Men ought always pray and not faint.” Mark 11:24 says, “Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, you shall have them.” So prayer is very vital, valuable and yet simple.

Fasting means to “abstain from food/water, in order to focus on communion, prayer and fellowship with God.

The bible teaches us that these two together, gives powerful results. (OT – Exodus 34:28, II Chronicles 20:3, Jonah 3:5, NT-Luke 2:37, Matthew 4:2, Acts 13:2)

Just as the Bible teaches us that prayer and fasting are very important, it does not specifically command believers to spend lots of time in this. However, periodically it is something that we should be doing to accomplish special results; because the real purpose of it all is to take our eyes off of the things of this world, and focus on thoughts and prayers on God. When you fast, don’t be as the hypocrites (disfiguring their faces); but wash yourselves (face), and anoint your head with oil, so that it is not obvious.

The glory of this consecration will yield powerful results of “Apostolic and Prophetic Impartation That Empowers the Church, Through Spiritual Gifts and Kingdom Authority.” For it is written, “The Father who seeth us in secret will reward you openly.” I encourage each of you push through to the very end and watch God work! 2019 promises to be a year of breakthroughs, completions, turnarounds, bounce backs, prosperity, and successes. So expect your miracles and promises made to you.

May the eternal God of peace, bring to pass all of your requests that are found in His divine and perfect will.

In His Service,

Apostle Allen H. Simmons, DD

We invite you to attend prayer with us. Our prayer times are each Saturday morning at 6 a.m., Thursday, noonday prayer from 12 pm to 1 pm and each intercessor takes time praying around the clock daily. Feel free to come and pray with us. Listen out for additional prayers throughout the year in accordance with services and National events

Corporate Consecration

What does it mean to consecrate? Consecration means to set apart or devote as sacred. When we set ourselves apart, we give God the opportunity to transform our thoughts, emotions, feelings, decisions and inner dispositions. God is a gentleman and He will never force Himself upon us. When we decide to consecrate ourselves and set ourselves apart for His use, we grant Him permission to work in us. We relinquish Him authority to reset our worldly attitudes, emotions, reasonings and dispositions. As God resets them, He aligns them with His will for our lives and gives us the tools to follow His plans for our lives. While we consecrate ourselves and set ourselves apart for Him, He prepares us for His glory. Consecration is important because it leads us on the path of holiness so that we may walk the Lords way, opens up the door for God to work in us and it puts us on a path to enjoy the riches of God’s salvation

We are thankful for out-pouring of the spirit at our Intercessors Gathering. Pastor T. Renea Glenn gave us a mighty word from the Lord. In 2019, let us continue in well-doing, let us stay on our knees and not be distracted by the attacks of the enemy.

It is time to put on our armor and go to battle against Satan. Satan is not playing with us and we should not play with him either. We need soldiers to get on the frontline to battle with Satan. Do you accept the challenge?

Prayer is more than petitioning God and making requests to Him. Prayer is essential to the foundation of our relationship with God. Prayer is the portal that opens up the doors to an intimate, personal and solid relationship with our Heavenly Father. Through prayer, we can praise the Father, worship our Heavenly Father, confess our sins, express our concerns to Him, share our fears, give Him our true inner self, be completely vulnerable with and petition our hearts desires to Him. Prayer is also a vessel of communication with our Heavenly Father.

Prayer give us the opportunity to talk to God and also gives God the opportunity to talk to and fellowship with His children. Prayers invites Him into our hearts, our lives and invites His divine love and protection in our lives. It gives God the opportunity to show His love for us, operate in lives and align us in His Will.

As prayer has many functions in our lives and connects us to the Father in so many ways, its Power is indescribable and crucial to our walk with Christ. David understood the Power in prayer and said, “9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.” (Psalm 6:9). He knew that God heard his hearts cry and would show up on his behalf.

Throughout the bible, prayer has:

Overcome enemies---- Psalm 6:9-10Conquered death-------2 Kings 4:3-36Brought healing---------James 5:14-15Defeated demons------Mark 9:29Salvation to the sinner------Luke 18:9-14Give guidance in war--------1 Samuel 30:8, 2 Samuel 2:1Give sight to the blind------2 Kings 6:17-20

Praying with Expectation*Join us nightly in prayer from 7 pm to 8 pm*

1. Give Thanks: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

6 Greater New Bethel SOP Consecration Manual

Page 7: storage.googleapis.com · Web viewObedience to God’s word is not about control or manipulation but living obediently to God is an act of worship. It demonstrates our love and trust

2. Pray: Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

The first principle in tapping into the power of prayer is actually praying. Praying is actually plugging in the connection to tapping into the Power of Prayer.

3. Recognize the Power is not in the person praying but the Power is in God: Matthew 19:26 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Jeremiah 10:12 12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

The second principle is acknowledging the Power from Prayer comes from God the Almighty.

4. Pray with Confidence: 1 John 5:14-15 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Confidence is approaching God knowing that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. Praying with confidence is having faith and believing that God hears us and will answer.

5. Pray Sincerely: If we walk through the book of Psalms, we will see that David prayed sincerely to God. He often shared his deepest hurts, concerns and feelings. He recognized God for His true righteousness. When praying sincerely, we must be mindful not to use prayer as a bargaining tool to try to manipulate God into do what we want.

6. Communicate with God: John 16:13 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Our communication with God should not only be when we want something. We should recognize that God wants fellowship and relationship with us. He wants to bless but He also wants to guide us, love us and protect us. How would you feel if the only time someone called on you was when they needed something or wanted something from you?

7. Pray for Acceptance of God’s Will: Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

2019 Consecration CommitmentRefrain from eating or drinking between the hours of 6:00 am to 6:00 pm each day from January 1st to January 12th. New Year’s Day and Sunday are an exception. The fasting time is 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Target your prayers during the fast. We can easily look around and see the times that we are living in are perilous and dangerous. We must pray for our spiritual leadership,

our national leadership, our country, our world and God’s Divine Kingdom worldwide. Our prayers should not be limited to our spiritual foundation but also government, communities and society in general. World peace, financial and economic stability, the spreading of the gospel, and unity are things that can be included in our prayers. When you put the needs of others on the altar, we believe that God will hear us and heal our land. In addition, God will meet our needs also.

Step 1: Set Your Objective

Why are you fasting? Seek the Holy Spirit for guidance and clarity.

Step 2: Make Your Commitment

What type of fast are you enduring? What are your limitations? Socially and physically How much time will you devote to prayer daily and study daily?

Step 3: Prepare Yourself Spiritually

Ask God to help you make a comprehensive list of your sins. Confess every sin that the Holy Spirit calls to your remembrance and accept

forgiveness Seek forgiveness from those you have offended. Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit

Step 4: Prepare Yourself Physically

Consult your physician if you take prescription medication or have a chronic ailment.

Prepare your body by eating smaller meals before starting a fast.

Fasting Fundamentals Plan Your Fast

You should enter your fast with prayer and a specific plan for how long you will fast. Our corporate fast is from January 1st through January 12th from 6 am to 6 pm daily. Along with fasting we will have one hour of prayer daily at the main sanctuary from 7 pm to 8 pm.

Part of planning your fast should include targeting things to pray about and pre-planning topics of study. If you have medical conditions and you may need alter your fast and it may also include pre-purchasing food substitutes or alternatives.

Consider Your ScheduleWhile a fast, by nature, is inconvenient, it should be an inconvenience to you—not to those around you. Fasting should be a personal commitment. If you have children and loved ones that are not fasting, try to incorporate their meal times with your prayer times or study times.

Tell Only the People You MustYour spouse will need to know you are fasting. Beyond that, you would be better off not telling many people that you are fasting. Telling your pastor can be a help both to you and to him. And always consult with your physician if you have medical conditions or you take routine medications that require food intake.

Wean Yourself Off Caffeine and High Sugary FoodsSeveral days before your fast begins, you should start weaning yourself off caffeine and high sugary foods. Some people experience unbearable headaches 2 to 3 days after ceasing to drink caffeinated products.

Beware of Your Emotions and Heightened Sense of Spiritual Awareness Some people experience vast mood swings during a fast. One moment you are focused on God and then you are wallowing in pity. Knowing that this is likely to happen will help you react properly. Also expect a sense of heightened Spiritual Awareness, when separate yourself from regular patterns of the world and focus on God, He gives you clarity and it helps to develop a more intimate relationship with Christ.

Be Still and Focus on GodFasting  is a time to study God’s Word, meditate and pray. To help with this, plan a specific Bible passage or topic you want to study during your fast. Look for verses you want to memorize and meditate upon. Fasting by Jesus and the disciples was always accompanied by prayer. Spend time talking to God and allowing Him to reveal Himself to you in His Word.

Expect physical changes. During fasting, expect your physical body to change as it physically detoxing in addition to your spiritual detoxing. You could experience symptoms such as headache, fatigue, nausea, foggy brain, bad breath etc. What happens to my body while I am Fasting?

Your body will go through changes and you will feel differently. Do not be alarmed this is all natural as your body begins to detox and eliminate waste. Listed below are some changes that you may experience.

You will feel hungry Light-headed and/or Dizziness Body odor Constipation Dark urine

Greater New Bethel S.O.P.Consecration 2019

Skin irritation Bad breath Nausea Coated Tongue Change in energy levels Sinuses may be clogged

These changes are occurring because during the fast your body is going through a detoxification process in which it is expelling harmful wastes and toxins. Your body will then begin to pull energy from fat that is stored. The skin irritation, body odor, bad breath, and coated tongue are just ways that your body is naturally expelling wastes and toxins.

In the beginning, your energy levels will drop and you may feel fatigue, hunger, irritation and even light-headed but hold on. Do not give up. Around day eight, your energy levels will balance and you will feel energized as if you were exercising. Most people have a clear mind and appear to function at better rates than before they started the fast.

As you will see, fasting benefits your physical body as well as your spirit. The biggest benefit of fasting both for the physical and for the spirit is that it naturally detoxes you and pulls from your reserve. Naturally, it pulls fat that is stored up and spiritually it quiets external influences and forces your spirit to pull from your spiritual reserve.

What Happens Spiritually While I am Fasting:We are all familiar with passage of Mark 9:29, in which Jesus answers the disciples that some power only comes from fasting and prayer. Fasting also does much more for our spiritual lives than to only cast out devils and demons. When we fast, we are disconnecting from the world and our comfort zone and relying on God to fill us. Listed below are some benefits of fasting.

Brings spiritual clarityo Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by

the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

o Surrender comfort- Fasting pulls you out of your comfort zone and kills your fleshly desires. It helps you to focus on your spirit and not your flesh. It promotes self-discipline.

Reveals things that control uso Abstaining from food helps to regain mastery of flesh. Fasting reveals to us

where our attention is diverted from God and diverts our attention back to God.

Unlocks Spiritual Powero Breaks Satanic Strongholdso Isaiah 58:6, “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of

wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?”

Builds Trust and Develops greater intimacy with God.o Just like any relationship, the more time and energy that you invest in it will

produce greater intimacy and a deeper bond.

Fasting is a tool that God has given us that has many functions. It builds character and spiritual clarity, it reveals the deep things inside of us, it unlocks spiritual power and deepens our relationship with God. When done sincerely and honestly fasting aligns us to live the holy life that God desires of us.

6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

2 John 1:6

God’s Word is a blueprint on how to live our lives successfully and righteously. It is full of examples of God’s love and interaction with His people. It gives reminders of His grace and mercy in the lives of His people. God’s Word gives guidance and instruction for our daily lives.

Obedience to God’s word is not about control or manipulation but living obediently to God is an act of worship. It demonstrates our love and trust in God. Obedience to God’s word also protects us from worldly distractions and traps. Obedience to God’s word keeps our spirit align with God and His will for our lives. It equips us to handle the turbulences that life throws at us daily. The bible is just not a history book; it is a God-inspired manual with instructions to help us in this life on earth.

Day 1 PrayerFather, help us to obedient to this corporate fast. Help us to put our personal fears, problems and issue on the back burner. Guide us to read, understand and thirst for your word and your righteousness. Help us to worship you in obedience.

Day 1Target Prayer Area:Today I Feel:My StrengthsMy Weakness:Plan for Tomorrow:

January 2New Bethel Church Leadership (Pastors, Deacons, Ministry Leaders)7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of

God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.Hebrews 13:7

The leadership of New Bethel Sounds of Praise are second to none. Our leaders are touchable. Our leaders will come and see you in the hospital, they will call you, text you, they speak to you and hug you in church and in public, they know your children’s names, they will cry with you, pray with you and give you a word from the Lord. They will help build you and your God-given gifts.

In addition to all of the things, that our leaders do for us, they are constantly under attack from the enemy. The enemy is constantly attacking their families, finances, well-being, character and health. We cannot forget that they are human and experience the turbulences of life also. If our leaders go on the frontline for us, we should be willing to go in the prayer room for them.

Day 2 PrayerFather, strengthen our leaders in Christ and we pray that they would have Godly wisdom and boldness that comes from you. Strengthen, our leaders, as they to continue to fight battles for themselves and fight on the front-line for God’s people. We pray for protection for our leaders and their families. We pray that our leaders have Godly relationships and friendships and are not influenced nor corrupted by worldly attacks and desires.

Day 2Target Prayer Area:Today I Feel:My StrengthsMy Weakness:Plan for Tomorrow:

January 3Community and Government

2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Proverbs 29:2

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my

righteousness.15 Greater New Bethel SOP Consecration Manual

Isaiah 41:10

It is no secret that our local and national government and communities need prayer. Satan has unleashed an all-out attack on humanity. But we must remember that there is nothing new under the sun. God’s people have experienced and suffered under terrible rulers and in horrid environments throughout history. The same God that delivered them before is still alive today.

As we look around, it is easy to point fingers and find blame but we must remember that Satan, the evil one, is our enemy. He has released demonic influence and spiritual wickedness in our world around us. It has influenced our government and our communities. We cannot lose sight of who our real enemy is and how we should attack him. Our enemy is not our president, elected officials, gangs, religious leaders or large corporations. Satan is our enemy and our fight is against him. As God’s people we do not fight with guns and swords. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthian 10:4-5. We fight on our knees with the power of Jesus.

Day 3 PrayerFather, strengthen your people and help us not become comfortable with sin and corruption around us. Help to be strong in your word. Strengthen us to stand firm on your word and your principles. Guide us to pray for our national leaders and communities according to your word.

Greater New Bethel S.O.P.Consecration 2019

Most of the time, it’s easy to pray for our family, friends and co-workers. It can even be easy to pray for our enemies, when we are in our feelings. How often do we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us when praying for others? If we are in our feelings, our prayers can be altered by how we feel. If we really humble ourselves to the Holy Spirit, He will lead us on how to be a blessing to the people around us. God places us in peoples lives to be an example. The enemy often causes friction between people to stop or distract us from seeing people the way God sees people. The truth is that we are all hurting, all have struggles and all need help and prayers. We cannot allow our love or dislike for people to treat them indifferent.

Day 4 PrayerFather, help us to be sensitive to the struggles to the people around us. Teach us not to interfere in your molding and character building of them but teach us to be humble and prayerful. Teach us to be examples of your love. Bless our families and friends, keep their minds and protect them from the vicious attacks of the enemy. And keep peace between me and those that I work with daily.

Right now, there is a lot of uncertainty in our economy, in the stock market and the financial future of our country. With government shutdowns, corporations out-sourcing, and layoffs, the financial future of our own homes and church home can look dim and it may seem scary. There is no need to have fear nor anxiety because God will never leave us not forsake us. God has already provided the means to all of our needs. As a church, we are not here just to have a building for worship. Our ministry extends to the community around us. A lack of funding in the world’s economic system will not stop us from being a blessing to the people and community that has ordained for us to help. We need to remember that God is our provider.

Day 5 PrayerFather, strengthen our faith and remind us that you are our provider. Teach us not to lean to our own understanding put trust your plan for our ministries. Help us to not allow the worldly things around us to cause anxiety and fear in regards to your provisions. We ask that you open people’s heart to bless our ministry so that can continue to bless your people and build your kingdom.

Day 5Target Prayer Area:Today I Feel:My StrengthsMy Weakness:Plan for Tomorrow:

January 6National SOP – Vision, Leadership

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.Proverbs 29:18

The Sounds of Praise is an international ministry. We are focused on spreading the unadulterated word of God to people throughout the world. This cannot be successful without Vision from God, strong leadership and God-centered Christians that are willing to carry out the Vision. We must remember that our ministry is constantly growing and there are times when we must reorganize and keep pushing the Vision of God for his people. There are ministries around us deteriorating, preachers committing suicides and tons of lawsuits against God’s people. We are not exempt from any of those things but God’s grace and mercy is with us.

It is important that we pray for the International Leadership of SOP and for our local leaders. The enemy desires to sift us as wheat but we have stay prayed and always walk in love and wisdom.

Day 6 PrayerFather, we pray that are leaders are spiritually responsible and accountable to God. We pray that they walk in Godly-wisdom, love and obedience to your word. We ask that you give them Holy Boldness as they travel this world and lead your people. We pray that they seek you for guidance and that our leaders have financial and moral integrity and walk a life that magnifies the fruits of the spirit.

Day 6Target Prayer Area:Today I Feel:My StrengthsMy Weakness:Plan for Tomorrow:

January 7Renewed Hope and Revival

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of

his understanding.29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not

faint.Isaiah 40:31

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

I have come to believe that there are three phases in life that we constantly cycle through, some longer than others but it’s still a process. These phases are going into turbulence, in the middle of turbulence and coming out of turbulence. These phases have no time-frame or expiration date. Some phases may be longer than others but one thing that I learned is that phase of being in the turbulence is always the hardest. However, it also builds faith, integrity, and character and pulls out selfish, disobedience and other worldly-attitudes. Inside the turbulence phase, it can be dark, lonely, and scary amongst other things. But God never leaves us without hope and plan for restoration and revival. David, Jonah and Hezekiah are just a few examples of people who were revived from a turbulent situation.

We must remember that God has a plan for us. We already have the victory.

Day 7 PrayerFather, strengthen and renew my mind, spirit and body. Today is day seven and I am asking for strength to continue this fast. As you, strengthen my spirit, strengthen my faith in you and remind me of your grace and mercy no matter what phase of turbulence that I may find myself in during this upcoming year. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

11 Turn away from evil and do good. Try to live in peace even if you must run after it to catch and hold it!

1 Peter 3:11 (The Living Bible)

We will live in a world with Christians of different backgrounds, lifestyles, mannerism and practices. Despite all of our differences, Christ is our common factor and the word of God is our universal symbol. The word of God unifies Christians in mind and spirit. We must remember, regardless, of our differences that Christ is our head and our main

goal is to show Godly love to the world around us. The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom.

Day 8 PrayerFather, we pray that Christians are unified under the love of Christ. We pray that we have wisdom and self-control that brings peace and pushes past our differences. We pray that you open doors and strengthen Christians in other countries who do not have the opportunity to freely serve and worship God. We pray that we all speak the same language of love and peace to win the hearts of unbelievers.

January 9Uncommon Love, Strengthened Faith, Acceptance of One Another

8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love makes up for many of your faults. 9 Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a

place to stay for the night.10 God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each

other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings.1 Peter 3:7-11(Living Bible)

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.John 15:12

What is uncommon love? It is the kind of love that causes a man to lay down his life for a friend. It is the kind of love that keeps forgiving, keeps believing, it isn’t jealous, boastful, proud, envious and keeps no record of wrongs. That is kind of love that God gives us every day. We live a world full of people who don’t look like us, dress like us, think like us, talk like us or act like us. But God loves each of us the same. The same loved that caused God to reach into a pit and save us; is the same love that God has for

all of his people. As we walk through this life, we will encounter different people that may have made choices and decisions that we do not agree with. It is our job to love and have accept people where they are. It is our job to trust that God has a plan for deliverance for them, just as he has a plan for deliverance for us. Showing uncommon love is a way of planting or watering a seed and having faith that God will give the increase in a person’s life.

Day 9 PrayerFather, teach us to have uncommon love and acceptance for each other. Please strengthen our faith so that we can support each other and build each other in the word. Teach us to love and to forgive each other. Help us to not be envious or have strife amongst each other.

January 10Employment, Sick and Shut In, Restoration of the Saints

17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a

contrite spirit.19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

20 He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.Psalm 34:19

As surely as we live in this life, we will face trials, troubles and storms. Some of these come in form of unemployment, sickness, depression, loneliness and many others. If we are not careful, the enemy will magnify our situation and leave us feeling hopeless, helpless and cast down. If we are honest with ourselves, we have all had a moment like that. These are times that the enemy is using as a distraction to break our faith and keep our minds off of God. It is important to remember to pray for those who are sick, shut in and unemployed. We cannot allow the enemy to make a temporary situation a permanent lifestyle. We have to remind ourselves and others that everything that we going through is only temporary and is working for a greater good

in the end. Financial struggles and sickness can deplete our faith but we have to remember that all of these things are temporary so we must keep our eyes on the things of God. Keeping our faith is where we find healing and restoration.

Day 10 PrayerFather, help us to pray for those who may be lost and cannot pray for themselves. We bind the enemy and his attacks on their hearts, minds and body. We pray for their financial, mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.

January 11Relationships, Church Growth and Power to Connect

24 In response to all he has done for us, let us outdo each other in being helpful and kind to each other and in doing good. 25 Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his

coming back again is drawing near.Hebrews 10:24-25

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, 2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. 4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. 5 Let this

mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon

him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:Philippians 2:1-7

Social Media and the World-Wide Web give the appearance that connecting with people is easy. That is not 100% factual. They are tools that can be used to spread the word of God or the spread the influence of Satan. We cannot stop doing the physical and spiritual legwork in building relationships, building our churches and connecting with

people. Yes, we can publish books, stream our services and distribute our sermons but people are yearning for true interaction and love with God. God has sent us out to be fishers of men and at the end of the broadcast and the last page of the book; we have to live the life we preach about. We have to be able to connect with people and build relationships that show Godly love and compassion. Beyond growing our church, we are building God’s kingdom.

Day 11 PrayerFather, we ask that you would build our churches with authentic love. We pray that we are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and have the ability connect with each other.

20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things. 21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie

is of the truth.26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth,

and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.Hebrews 2:20-21, 26-27

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the

wisdom of men, but in the power of God1 Corinthians 2:4-5

Jesus told the disciples that he had to leave them on earth but would not leave alone. He said that he would send us some help. The help that he left us is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has everything that we need. We have to submit ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to have reign in our churches, in our hearts, in our minds, in our marriages and in our decision-making patterns. The power of the Holy Spirit is much more than jumping and shouting. When we completely humble ourselves to the Holy

Spirit, people are healed and delivered. Then the snowball effect occurs. As we begin to heal from the inside out, other people notice and it causes a ripple effect to the people around us. We can take healing on our jobs, to our families, and in our communities.

Day 12 PrayerFather, we pray that your anointing would overtake us. We pray that it would overflow from our church to homes, our jobs and our communities. We pray that your Holy Spirit would have freedom in our homes and our churches and that it would overflow into our jobs, communities, corporate America and our government.
