Había una señora que se vestía de negro y gris y llevaba una mantilla que le cubría la cara. La gente del vecindario la llamaba  "la viuda." Todos decían,  "¡Qué mujer tan respetuosa!  Se viste de negro después de tantos años". Algunos comentaban, "Mi mamá dice que su esposo se murió hace treinta años". Otros decían, "Mi abuelo dice que su esposo se murió hace cincuenta años". Una muchacha muy metida dijo: "¡Yo voy a resolverlo de una vez!" y fue a la casa de la viuda. Juan Bobo y el Caldero

Toda la gente del pueblo conocía a Juan Bobo. Era tan perezoso que siempre se escondía del trabajo. Un día, su mamá necesitaba ayuda. Ella llamó a su hijo:  "Juan, ven acá", pero Juan no venía. Dijo otra vez: "Ven, Juan ¡Juancito!", pero nada.Finalmente dijo: "Juan, te voy a hacer una sopa de gallina", y seguro, apareció Juan.Mamá necesitaba una olla más grande para hacer la sopa.
